Burglar Alarm At Currency @ Chicago/Kedzie

Good morning, everyone, it's 7:20am. Today, I'm going to monitor Zone 3 for a little bit, then Zone 12 for the rest of the day. It's in the 30s and it's cloudy. Here's crime for today.

7:34am - Burglar alarm. Chicago and Kedzie. At the currency.

8:19am - Assist the citizen. 17XX N Tripp. Caller needs help getting the kids back from the father.

9:20am - Burglar alarm. 59XX W Adams.

9:25am - Traffic accident. 11XX N Laramie.

9:29am - Burglar alarm. 5610 W Lake.

9:57am - Alarm. 5200 W Roosevelt.

10:01am - Bomb threat. 4650 W North Ave. At the Walmart.

10:07am - Assault. 52XX W Adams. Male Black, 35 years old, 5'4, blue coat just threatened the caller in front.

10:08am - Beat 1561Adam is dispersing one for gang loitering from a street stop at 9XX N Lavergne. Console time is 10:08 and the event number is 05644.

10:19am - Regarding the 10:01am job, no devices were found. Just a threatening phone call. But an RD number is being pulled. It's HV136668.

10:43am - Battery in progress. 31XX N Natchez.

10:56am - I'm going to go for a few hours, or maybe for the day. Don't know for sure. If I don't come back, I hope everyone has a great day. I should be back sometime in the week or next weekend.

Foot Patrol On North Ave.

12:20pm - Beat car 2532 is doing foot patrol on the 5600 block of W North Ave.

12:26pm - Panic alarm. 1525 N Pulaski.

12:29pm - 1) Assault. 50XX W Congress. Neighbor threatened the caller. 2) Disturbance. 804 S Cicero. Caller has a problem with the car dealership, who won't give them their money back.

12:40pm - Narcotics. 5300 W Division.

12:47pm - Narcotics. West End and Central. Two males on the corner selling.

12:50pm - Disturbance. 52XX W Congress. Problem with the neighbor.

12:56pm - Traffic accident. Cicero and Dickens.

1:02pm - Battery in progress. 4052 W North Ave. Two male shoplifters fighting the owner in the store.

1:03pm - A slow down is being given on the 1:02pm job.

1:04pm - Burglary. 1XX N Waller. Three male Blacks just stole a bunch of things out of an apartment and took off in a burgundy vehicle.

1:11pm - 1) Burglar alarm. 3050 N Harlem. At Lincoln Park bank. Teller motion. 2) Backlog in 25 at 13:11 hours.

1:12pm - Burglar alarm. 1XX N Long.

1:25pm - Disturbance. 5600 W Barry. Dispute over some found money on the ground.

2:19pm - Disturbance w/ a mental. 16XX N Linder.

2:32pm - Beat 2583 is doing foot patrol this afternoon on Diversey from Kilbourn to Cicero. Event number is 09207.

2:39pm - Disturbance. 5133 W North Ave. Five 14 year olds in the parking lot, harassing people.

2:53pm - Beat car 1531 is on a street stop at Thomas and Lavergne.

2:56pm - Commercial alarm. 1XX N LaCrosse.

3:07pm - Beat car 2531 has a traffic stop at Lockwood and Crystal.

3:10pm - 1) Traffic accident. Diversey and Rutherford. Car door was damaged by another car. 2) Disturbance. 4545 W Grand. Problem with the mechanic over a car part.

3:15pm - Beat 2548 has an on-view accident at Cicero and Grand. All parties are okay. Just a fender-bender.

3:16pm - 2531 wants an event number for the "Conflict Zone".

3:17pm - Disturbance w/ a mental. 48XX W Fletcher. Female patient getting violent.

3:18pm - 1531 has a traffic stop at 8XX N Lavergne.

3:20pm - Beat 5581 has an unavoidable traffic stop at Augusta and Long. Couple of heads in the car. It was driving "weirdly". Assist car requested per Dispatch.

3:44pm - Disturbance w/ a mental. 5107 W Jackson. At Columbus Manor group home. A man is having an "episode", breaking out windows.

4:00pm - Beat 1585 has a street stop at 345 N Central.

4:08pm - 1585 is chasing a subject at Central and Chicago. Running north towards Iowa on Central.

4:10pm - A slow down is being given on the foot chase.

4:19pm - Narcotics. 5921 W Division. Two male Blacks dressed in black in front of Sunset Liquors are selling drugs.

Shooting At Keystone And LeMoyne, W. Humboldt Park

A shooting occurred in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood Friday evening around 5:54pm.

Chicago Police responded to 1538 North Karlov to find a 15 year old male shot in the lower right leg.

The teenager told police he was shot on the corner of Keystone and LeMoyne by an occupant of a red vehicle, that sped east on LeMoyne. Five gunshots were fired, according to the victim.

Three 911 calls were placed on the incident, first reporting that four shots had been fired at LeMoyne and Pulaski Rd. The intersection of Karlov and Pierce, and 1500 N Karlov, was used as well.

On a related note, at 5:56pm, as this shooting was unfolding, Chicago Police received a "man with a gun" call at Kedvale and Cortland, four blocks from the shooting. A male Hispanic with a white hoodie supposedly had the gun. Although, CPD did not find anyone there when they responded.

A police report has been done for this crime, and Chicago Police are investigating.

11:35pm - Parker. 71XX W Armitage. Blue car parked on the residential.

11:37pm - Beat car 1522Robert has a traffic stop at 5402 W Madison.

11:47pm - 1) Battery in progress. 8XX N Lawler. Group of people fighting. 2) Beat 2563Eddie is taking one in from a stop at 12XX N. Harding, and is pulling an RD number for a "2024" from it. It's HV135075 with the event number of 20587.

11:58pm - Person w/ a gun. 2329 N Mulligan. At an abandoned house, there's a man with a gun.

Burglar Alarm On Jullian, Traffic Stop @ North/Western

Good morning, everyone, it's 8:50am. .

8:52am - Burglar alarm. 16XX W Jullian.

10:15am - Beat car 1432 has a traffic stop at North and Western, in the gas station. Another car needed.

10:17am - A slow down is being given on the 10:15am stop.

10:36am - Disturbance. 2744 W Madison. Problem with the clerk over a debt card.

1:15pm - Suspicious person. 2008 W Chicago. Male White, black jacket with a mop and a bucket, is trying to get into the building.

1:17pm - Beat 1474 is pulling an RD number from one of the schools. It's HV132843 with the event number of 07487.

1:20pm - Beat 961Eddie has a traffic stop at 2510 W Division.

1:23pm - Beat 1863Adam is taking in one from 2401 W Division. An RD number is being pulled from this. It's HV132867 with the event number of 08340.

1:30pm - Beat 1488 needs some more cars at Western and Division. Large crowd forming at the Clemente High School dismissal and there's a lot of yelling. Multiple units on the way. It's no emergency, though.
1:38pm - Burglary in progress. 8XX N Campbell. Two male Whites are breaking into the side door of the condo.
1:40pm - They've got one stopped at 24XX W. Rice, possibly in connection with the Campbell burglarly.
1:53pm - Special attention requested at the Von Humboldt school, 2620 W Hirsch.

1:56pm - Gang disturbance. Division and California. 15 male Black teens on the corner, throwing up signs. Possibly in connection with the incident at the Clemente HS dismissal.

1:59pm - Assault. 2805 W Division. Male Hispanic with a black jacket is trying to hit the manager at the store.

2:41pm - Assault in progress. Rockwell and Crystal. 20 kids about to fight.

2:45pm - Disturbance. 6326 N Broadway. Male refusing to leave the Dunkin Donuts.

2:46pm - Gang disturbance/information for the CPD. 3110 W Grand.

2:48pm - Narcotics. On 1422's Beat.

2:49pm - Beat 2402 and Dispatch are having somewhat of a dispute over a crossing that's supposed to be covered at Granville and Ravenswood. An officer is eventually assigned to cover it.

2:50pm - Battery report. 3320 W Hirsch. At the Lowell school. 8 year old son was hit by the teacher.

2:53pm - Beat 2406Boy is patroling along Howard, probably the section of it east of Clark.

3:09pm - Battery in progress. California and Madison. People fighting.

3:24pm - Battery in progress. 2100 W Carroll. Large group fighting.

3:26pm - A slow down is being given on the 3:24pm job.

5:14pm - Holding the offender. 4650 W North Ave. At the Wal-Mart.

5:51pm - Hold-up alarm. 4800 W Lake.

5:55pm - Suspicious vehicle. 53XX W Barry.

Curfew Relocated Onto Congress, RD Number Pulled On Cicero

Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. It's a clear night in Chicago with temps in the upper teens. It'll warm up to around 40 today. I'm only going to cover 2511's Beat when I come back in the morning, until 6:30pm or so. Here's crime for today.

12:04am - Beat 1553 is reloacting a curfew from somewhere to the 5200 block of W Congress.

12:05am - Beat car 2533Robert is pulling an RD number from a robbery that occurred at 20:00 hours (8pm) last night from 1601 N Cicero. It's HV127016 with the event number of 00083. The victim is at the hospital.

12:08am - I'm going to go for the night. I'll be back in the morning. Good night, everyone.

9:44am - Traffic accident. Diversey and Harlem.

10:52am - Battery. Narranganset and Belmont. Owner of the store pushed the caller out the front door.

1:21pm - DUI driver. 29XX N Moody. Intoxicated male driver in a small sliver SUV with a plate of L386078.

3:51pm - Person w/ a gun. Barry and Oconto. Male in the back of a white van just pulled a gun out on the caller.

7:33pm - Check the well being. Broadway and Diversey. Female under a blanket.

Barking Dog On New England

Good evening, everyone, it's 8:50pm. It's a clear but cold evening, with temps around 20 and a bunch of snow on the ground following last night's action. I'm monitoring Zone 12 only this evening, which is the 15th and 25th Districts. Zone 12 covers the Austin, Galewood, Mont Clarie, Belmont-Craigin and Hermosa neighborhoods, as well as portions of the West Humboldt Park, Avondale and Logan Square neighborhoods. I do not cover the two ladder neighborhoods on this blog because I already cover these two neighborhoods on another blog. All of these neighborhoods are on Chicago's Northwest and West sides. Since I'm on this subject, starting tomorrow, I'm going to only cover specific Beats on the various Zones for a couple of months, until about late March or April. So, for example, I'll cover Beat 2511 one day for a time period, then another day, 1031's Beat would be covered. I'm going to start out with the quietest Beats in the city first. So with that, here's crime for this evening.

8:51pm - Barking dog. 24XX N New England.

8:54pm - Suspicious person. 4748 W North Ave. Inside the Walgreens. Two females in there, casing the store, like they're going to steal.

9:07pm - Narcotics. 52XX W Washington.

9:25pm - Suspicious person. 48XX W Huron. Two males tried to climb into the caller's window.

11:17pm - Battery in progress. Belmont and LeClaire. A bad accident just occurred and now everyone's fighting.

11:22pm - A slow down is being given on the 11:22pm job.

11:24pm - Battery in progress. 49XX W Drummond. Four people fighting.

11:49pm - Disturbance. 29XX N Parkside. People arguing in the hallway.

11:52pm - Suspicious person. 1400 block of N Lotus. Two male Blacks in black jackets walking down the street, ringing doorbells.

11:53pm - Person down. 3XX N Latrobe. Male down in the alley.

11:57pm - 1) A slow down is being given on the 11:53pm job. 2) Disturbance. 5300 W Madison. Male Black with a black hat and black jacket is selling CDs in the lobby of the pizza place.

11:59pm - EMS is being called for on the 11:53pm job.

Shaking Building On Mayfield, Burglar Alarm On Altgeld

Good morning, everyone, it's 9:40am. I hope everyone will celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. today, as it is Martin Luther King Day. Remember the sacrifice he made to end segregation in this country. Anyway, I'm monitoring mostly just Zone 12, but will monitor some other Zones around 6:30pm or 7pm. With that, here's crime for today.

9:42am - 1) Information for the CPD. 15XX N Mayfield. People are moving so many things into the vacant building that the caller's building is shaking. 2) Burglar alarm. 49XX W Altgeld.

9:48am - Open door. 51XX W Washington. Back door is open.

9:49am - Beat 2530 is doing an outdoor roll call at LeMoyne and Central.

9:50am - Beat car 1523 has a family member who lives at the Mayfield address, who says that there's an open back door there. She's advising they use caution.

9:53am - Theft in progress. 5118 W Madison. In the rear of the vacant building, two males are stealing things. A green pick-up truck is involved.

9:56am - 1) Now they're saying that on the 9:53am job, someone's got a gun. 2) Beat 2506Charlie asks for an event number for the "Conflict Zone" (Beats 2531 and 2532). It's 04750.

10:22am - Theft. 2233 N Cicero. At Windy City auto repairs. Seven batteries were taken out of various cars.

10:25am - Suspicious person. 67XX W Wrightwood. Someone's trying to get into the building.

10:27am - Beat car 2514 is on scene of the 10:25am job, saying that no one's out there. It's going to be coded.

10:58am - Narcotics. On 2533's Beat.

11:00am - Robbery. 5355 W Diversey. Three males with masks and guns just held up the computer store. Computers, wallets and other things were taken. All of the victims are on the floor.

11:02am - Officers are on scene of the 11am job. The suspects are covered head to toe in black clothing. One fled from the front and the other two fled from the back. They went in unknown directions. They displayed handguns.

11:03am - A detective is on the way to 5355 Diversey.

11:04am - Per one of the witnesses, a green cargo van was involved. Another witness said a maroon car was involved. Also, Beat 5559 stopped a possible at Laramie and Schubert, but he's not one of the suspects.

11:06am - The offenders might be Hispanic. They had Spainish accents.

11:07am - A green conversion van with a sliver leader on it was involved.

11:08am - They're looking at video from the cameras in the store now.

11:09am - One of the things taken during this incident was a huge purse that can't be missed.

11:15am - According to the trackers on the computers and cell phones, the suspects are in the area around Belmont and Harlem.

11:16am - The van is burgundy in color. It's a conversion van.

11:17am - The trackers show the suspects to be on the 3300 block of N. Octavia, in 16.

11:18am - An RD number is being pulled from this incident. It's HV119828 with the event number of 05645.

11:19am - Per Beat 5561, he wants only a couple of units in the area. The rest are being told to clear out for now.

11:21am - All units are being advised to clear the area.

11:25am through 11:40am - Police/Dispatch chatter regarding the 5355 Diversey incident.

12:31pm - The vehicle now has the following: multiple shades of burgundy on it, chrome bumper, spare tire on the left of the rear and two sliding windows.

12:48pm - Suspicious person. 7169 W Medill. Male White, slim build, baseball cap, black parka is on a bicycle and keeps looking into the vacant property at this address. He's been there all morning.

12:58pm - 1) Narcotics. Adams and Laramie. 2) Narcotics. 1XX S Lockwood. Three male Blacks, one in a blue jacket, one in a black Nikey's jacket and one in a black jacket are selling.

12:59pm - Disturbance. 48XX W Wabansia.

1:02pm - Robbery. 4500 W Armitage. At the brickhouse company.

1:08pm - Battery in progress. 48XX W Fulton.

1:14pm - 1) Assault. 3XX N Central. 2) Alarm. 5545 W Harrison. At the learning academy.

1:15pm - Narcotics. 5430 W Chicago.

2:57pm - Traffic accident. Central and Division.

2:59pm - Beat car 1531 has a traffic stop at Jackson and Cicero.

3:01pm - 1531 has a handwaver at their stop, saying that there's a home invasion in progress at 47XX W Jackson.

3:03pm - Beat car 1532 is heading over to Jackson as well.

3:05pm - 1) 1531 has an open door at the Jackson address. They're going to search the building. 2) Theft in progress. 18XX N Kedvale. Tenants in the basement just broke into the caller's garage and are stealing things.

3:09pm - Residential alarm. 48XX W Madison.

3:17pm - 1531 is clear from the Jackson thing.

3:18pm - Traffic accident. 5400 W Grand. Semi VS pole.

3:23pm - Burglar report. 2XX N Mayfield.

4:08pm - Beat 1561Adam is doing a narcotics dispersal from somewhere. Console time is 16:08 and the event number is 11078.

5:23pm - Disturbance. 30XX N Austin.

5:25pm - Person w/ a gun. North and Cicero. Two male Hispanics both in black hoodies are flashing gang signs and a gun at the bus stop.

6:58pm - Beat 956 has a street stop at Lafflin and 54th.

Good evening, everyone, it's 8:17pm. It's a clear night outside, with temps in the upper 20s. It isn't going to be that cold tonight, which is good, of course. It's actually going to be kind of warm tomorrow. Anyway, I'm monitoring Zone 12 until 11:34pm, then I'm going to listen to Zones 10 and 2 as well after, until midnight. 8:20pm - CTA bus alarm. 2900 N Central. Aboard bus #1191. Traveling south towards Diversey.

8:24pm - Narcotics. 11XX N Lavergne. From an upper apartment.

8:36pm - Person w/ a gun. Linder and North Ave. Known male named Walter just pulled out a shotgun on the caller.

9:09pm - Gang disturbance. 69XX W Shakespeare.

9:32pm - Battery. 56XX W Washington. 12 year old caller says that a man is beating up his mother.

9:40pm - Burglar report. 6914 W North Ave. At the recording studio.

10:10pm - Battery in progress. 5143 W Belmont. Two males fighting inside.

10:11pm - 1) Beat 2563Boy is dispersing four for gang loitering from 16XX N Luna. Console time is 22:11 and the event number is 16694. 2) Suspicious vehicle. 7XX N Central. Tow truck in the neighborhood, possibly stealing cars. 3) Gang or Tac unit in 25 being requested for a narcotics complaint on the 30 sector.

10:37pm - Theft. 3XX N Central. Male Hispanic with a brown coat broke into the caller's car and stole the radio.

10:40pm - Battery in progress. Belmont and Austin. Men fighting in the street.

10:41pm - Narcotics. 52XX W Adams. Group of people doing drugs, and one male Black in a blue jacket near a white car is selling.

10:58pm - Beat 2520 needs a paper car at the 10:40pm job. Beat car 2515Robert is pulling up.

11:00pm - Beat car 2511R needs another car at Nagle and Diversey, one with a PDT. 2514 is heading over.

11:15pm - Beat 2563Adam is taking one in for an "1811" from 37XX W Division. The RD number is HV119466 with the event number of 17535.

11:29pm - Narcotics. 51XX W Homer. Four male Blacks in an older white car doing drugs.

11:42pm - Beat 1095Robert has a curfew at 13XX S Hamlin.

11:48pm - Beat 2351 is relocating a curfew from somewhere to 42XX N Wolcott.

11:50pm - Reckless driver. Irving Park and Lakeshore Drive. Blue Royal cab with a plate of 3256TX is speeding north on Lakeshore Drive towards Lawrence at about 60 mph.

11:51pm - Assault in progress. 9XX W Cuyler. Things are being thrown around in an apartment and arguing can be heard.

11:55pm - Assault in progress. Belmont Red Line station. Someone's threatening the caller on car #2651, facing northbound.

Parker On St. Louis, Disturbance @ Shabbona Park

Good morning, everyone, it's 8:52am. .

8:53am - Parker. 57XX N St. Louis. 2-door black vehicle is blocking the driveway.

9:35am - Disturbance. Shabbona Park (6935 W. Addison).

9:38am - EMS run. 72XX W Peterson. Combative elderly person.

9:40am - Disturbance. Horner Park (2741 W. Montrose). By the police memorial, there are 20 people with unleashed dogs, and the caller has a problem with one person in particular.

9:56am - Traffic accident. 4200 N Keeler. Two cars, no injures. In front of the church.

9:57am - Disturbance. 6360 W Higgins. Homeless man needs to leave the bank.

10:02am - Parker. 40XX N Kildare. Car blocking the driveway.

10:07am - Disturbance w/ a mental. 5806 W Higgins. 56 year old brother with issues refuses to come home. CFD is on the way.

10:15am - DUI driver. 3300 N Kildare. Traveling southbound towards Belmont is a black Honda with a possible plate of K602365 that has a man with no shirt on, caller thinks he's drunk.

10:18am - The 9:38am call is coded. Person went peacefully to the hospital on EMS #47.

10:33am - Parker. 4329 N Kedzie. Gold car partially blocking the driveway.

10:41am - Battery. 46XX W Wilson. 21 year old female choked the caller.

10:42am - Beat 1720 is requesting Dispatch to call the graffiti blasters for 2900 W Irving Park. It's on a masonry surface, in purple writing. It's below 6 feet.

10:44am - Beat car 1631 is on foot on the 3600 block of N. Osage, writing a few tickets.

10:46am - EMS run. 43XX N Central. Forced entry needed.

10:47am - Beat 1641 has a traffic stop at Milwaukee and Central, in the parking lot of the bank.

10:54am - 1) Parker. 42XX N Kedvale. Black limo on the residential street. 2) Parker. 44XX N Monitor. White van with ladders.

10:56am - Parker. 32XX N Osanam.

10:58am - EMS run. Lockwood and Dakin. Male, 33 years old, black jacket and jeans is feeling suicidal. He admits to using heroin.

11:04am - Traffic accident. 3300 N Cicero. Two cars.

11:07am - Speed chase. Speed chase. Belmont and Kolmar. A 25th District unit is attempting to catch up with the 10:15am car that was speeding in that area. It was spotted. This is per Beat 6759David.

11:08am - West on Roscoe from Kilbourn.

11:09am - West on Cornelia from Killpatrick. Approaching Cicero.

11:10am - OK, the car crashed, per Beat 1761David. Offender is in custody. Supervisor needed. 1720 is going. A slow down is being given.

11:13am - Beat 1671 is following EMS #81 from the 10:58am job to OLR Hospital. The guy seems okay but they'll talk to him.

11:26am - Beat 1720 wants to know what ambulance is taking an injured P.O. from the speed chase. It was a 25th District officer. EMS #47 is taking them to Resurrection North on Talcott.

11:27am - Parker. 4800 block of N Kimball. Cars in the 2 inch of snow tow zone.

11:33am - 25 is handling the speed chase incident, but 1731 is going to sit over there until they tow a squad car that was involved in an accident.

11:50am - Parker. 52XX N Spaulding. Sliver Nissan parked into the caller's driveway. Person who parked the car might be in the restrauant nearby.

11:54am - Beat 1741 has a traffic stop at Keeler and Lawrence.

Male Hispanic, mohawk, black jacket threatened the caller, who's an employee at the Family Dollar at this location, where obviously this is all happening, and stated that he was "coming back" to rob the store. He was there earlier and has returned. The manager locked his/herself into the bathroom and the store doors are still open.

8:10pm - Beat car 1731 is chasing the 8:06pm offender. West on Melrose from Keeler.

8:11pm - Offender is in custody. 4205 W Melrose.

8:22pm - A 17th District unit has a traffic stop at Keystone and Lawrence.

8:28pm - Beat 1754 has a street stop at Montrose and Hamlin.

10:46pm - Disturbance. Milwaukee and Belle Plaine. In the Burger King parking lot.

10:52pm - Battery. 6935 W Irving Park. Caller was shoved.

11:11pm - Wanted from a Criminal Sexual Assault of an 8 year old from the Bubbleand at Kimball and Elston is a male Hispanic, 20s, 5'7 to 5'9, 150-175 lbs, black baseball cap, black jacket and yellow sweatpants.

11:16pm - They're calling back on the 10:58pm job. They're now in the gangway, doing drugs.

11:17pm - Criminal damage. 36XX N Osceola. Car window was broken out.

11:24pm - Arson in progress. 4900 block of N Sawyer. Someone just set a car on fire.

11:46pm - Criminal trespass in progress. 43XX N Monticello. Two people went into the vacant apartment.

11:48pm - They're calling AGAIN on the 10:58pm job. 15 to 20 of them in the backyard, smoking and drinking.

Criminal Sexual Assault On Neva

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 12pm. It's a pretty warm day outside, for January that is. It's in the 40s. As usual, I'm monitoring Zone 12, but I'm going to monitor a little of Zone 2 as well today. Here's crime.

12:00pm - Criminal Sexual Assault. 23XX N Neva.

12:03pm - Disturbance. 5636 W North Ave. Caller is upset with the people at the auto shop because they let their child work in there without their permission.

12:19pm - Narcotics. 1XX N Pine. Gangbangers selling drugs. Three of them have on black jackets and one has on a red jacket.

12:37pm - Suspicious person. 5701 W Belmont. Male White, black jacket, gray sweater and blue jeans is walking around the parking lot and looking into the cars parked there.

12:52pm - Beat 2562Eddie is pulling an RD number for an "1811" at 3632 W Division. It's HV108410 with the event number of 08361.

12:53pm - Robbery. 55XX W Quincy. One of the offenders had a gun.

12:57pm - Traffic accident. Ohio and Austin.

12:58pm - A slow down is being given on the 12:53pm job. It happened 45 minutes ago. Three males were involved and fled in a white van, heading towards Lotus.

1:02pm - Burglar report. 31XX N Narraganset.

1:09pm - Check the well being. 40XX W Kamerling. Landlord hasn't heard from their tenant in a while, who may have a violent boyfriend.

1:13pm - Person w/ a gun. 3026 N Cicero. The store's being robbed.

1:24pm - Gang disturbance. 9XX N Massasoit. Large group in front, refusing to leave.

1:31pm - A 15th District Tac unit is requesting an event number for a street stop at 5400 W Haddon. It's 09033.

2:50pm - Disturbance. 21XX N Mango.

2:55pm - Criminal trespass. 19XX N Kildare. Male just came out of the vacant building with two dogs, through the window.

2:56pm - Disturbance. 23XX N Menard.

2:58pm - Vice complaint in 15, on the 30 sector.

2:59pm - Wanted in 15 from an assault against a P.O. (not a physical assault) is a white Ford Conversion van with windows on each side, including the rear. There is no rear license plate. Instead, there is a gray patch where that plate should be, as well as above it. The car is a 2004 or 2005 model. It went north on Lotus from Jackson, then east on Quincy. Beat 1506 is ordering officers that if they spot it, they are stop it and hold any and all occupants in it, and to immeadiately notifiy 1599. The driver of the car is a male Black, 25 to 30 years old, medium complected and short hair.

3:14pm - Criminal trespass in progress. 1358 N Monticello. Unknown female just entered through the front door of the vacant house.

3:28pm - The driver of that Conversion van is in custody. As usual, good work to the 15th District officers!

3:29pm - EMS run. Cicero and Grand.

5:14pm - Assault in progress. 5101 W Division. Two teens, one in a brown hoodie and the other in a red hoodie, are threatening the caller and the security for Family Dollar.

5:28pm - 1) Disturbance. 5201 W Division. 2) Narcotics. 600 block of N Lotus.

5:46pm - Battery in progress. 5256 W North Ave. Large fight in the street.

6:11pm - Robbery. 59XX W Huron. Three teens, one with a black jacket and gray hoodie, the second one with a black coat and black hat and the third one with a blue jacket and biege pants, robbed the caller. They took $30. The third one has a gun.

6:15pm - Shots Fired. 24XX N Linder.

7:00pm - Burglar alarm. 21XX W Cuyler.

Traffic Stop @ North And Western, Gang Mission On Beats 1422 And 1423

Good morning, everyone, it's 8am. It's a pretty sunny morning out there, with temps in the 30s, I believe. It's going to be in the 40s today. Today, I'm monitoring more of Zone 3, but I will be monitoring other Zones as well. Here's crime for today.

8:06am - Beat 1495 has a traffic stop at North and Western.

8:18am - Beat 1406Adam is doing a gang suppression mission on Beats 1422 and 1423. Event number is 03756.

8:49am - 1) Prostitution. Francisco and Warren. Female Black, 40s, blue down jacket, soliciting in front. 2) Narcotics. XX N Albany. Female Black, 50s, black jacket and blue jeans is soliciting in front.

8:51am - Disturbance. 9XX N California.

8:53am - Disturbance w/ a mental. Division and Leavitt. Male White, 50s, 6'4, biege jacket over his head jumping into traffic.

8:54am - Commercial alarm. 605 N Kedzie.

8:55am - Commercial alarm. 839 N Hoyne. At the church.

8:57am - Suspicious vehicle. 31XX W Huron. Two vehicles have been parked in front for a month now and have not moved.

9:07am - Disturbance. 8XX N Bishop. Group of males loitering by the alley.

9:15am - Robbery in progress. 1555 N Damen. The bank is being robbed.

9:17am - A panic alarm is now coming in from the Damen bank. A couple of teller alarms are going off.

9:18am - It's probably bona fide. A male Black, 5'5, black skull cap and wearing gloves had a note, according to the manager.

9:20am - It's bona fide for sure. The offender's gone, though. A slow down is being given. Offender was wearing all black. He took about $1270.

9:24am - Hold-up alarm. 1600 W Chicago. At the Noble Square North Community Bank.

9:25am - The 9:24am job is now a robbery.

9:26am - It's bona fide. The offender is a male Black, 20s, 5'3, black knit cap, real baggy black pants, black shirt, goatee, clean shave and medium complected.

9:27am - In preparation in case another bank gets hit, Beat 1370 is heading over to the next nearest bank at Odgen and Grand. Beat 1342 is also going.

9:30am - Beat car 1323 has already notified the workers at the bank 1342 and 1370 went to, and they said that they'll trip the slient alarm.

9:35am - Beat 1302 (13th District Desk) is looking at POD #722, the camera that's at the corner of 1600 W Chicago.

9:36am - Burglar alarm. 15XX N Talman.

9:38am - The bank at Chicago and Western is going to be notified as well.

9:41am - Suspicious vehicle. 27XX W Thomas. Red Audi has been in front of this location for four weeks without moving.

9:42am - Beat 1401 pulls an RD number for a traffic accident from somewhere in the District. It's HV106768 with the event number of 04830.

9:43am - An RD number has been pulled from the Damen bank robbery. It's HV106747 with the event number of 04499. The call came in at 09:14 hours and was dispatched at 09:15 hours.

9:46am - Information for the CPD. The call is coming from an address on the 1900 block of N Leavitt, but it states that someone emailed the caller to tell them a North Community bank is being robbed.

9:48am - An RD number is being pulled from the 1600 Chicago robbery. It's HV106749 with the event number of 04604.

9:51am - 1) A white car is possibly involved in the robberies. A guy jumped into the car at about Winchester and North Ave. 2) Beat 1306Adam is doing a Community Concern at 9XX N Mozart. Event number is 04971.

9:52am - An officer is saying that he turned away a serviceman who was attempting to work on one of the ATMs.

10:03am - Traffic accident. Bosworth and North Ave. Two cars, no injures.

10:12am - The 10:03am job occurred on the Kennedy Expressway, so Illinois State Police is going to handle it.

11:24am - Theft. 10XX W Huron. U.S. Postal worker just stole a package from the building.

11:42am - Beat 1395 gets an accident somewhere.

11:55am - Beat car 1324 asks for a robbery mission event number. It's 06907.

12:01pm - Battery. 1215 N Milwaukee.

12:04pm - A 13th District unit pulls an event number for the 800 block of N Richmond. It's 07048.

8:08pm - Beat 1553 is getting some things on 1511's Beat.

8:09pm - Theft. 6656 W Grand. Cell phone was stolen off the caller's table at the restaurant.

8:11pm - 1) Beat car 1522 is getting some things on the Beat. 2) Traffic accident. 4XX N Central. 3) Narcotics. On 1524's Beat.

8:12pm - Person w/ a gun. 54XX W Washington. Husband, who has on a black leather coat, blue jeans and white gym shoes is threatening to kill the caller. He's got a gun.

8:14pm - A slow down is being given on the 8:12pm job.

8:18pm - Robbery. 29XX N New England. Two male Hispanics, one heavy set with a dark jacket, robbed the caller.

8:20pm - Battery in progress. West End and Menard. People fighting.

8:25pm - Battery in progress. Lavergne and Augusta. Street fight.

8:28pm - Traffic accident. Lake and Lavergne.

8:30pm - Beat 5565 is dispersing 20 for gang loitering at 5548 W North Ave. Console time is 20:30 hours and the event number is 16588.

8:37pm - The 8:18pm job is actually a home invasion. Beat 2510 is notified of the incident. Wanted from it are two male Hispanics, one 24-30 years old, dark complected, 5'9 or 5'10, black hair with ponytail, black jacket and blue steel handgun. The other one was 5'7 to 5'8, 150-160 lbs, black hoodie, ski mask and blue jeans, and he implied he had a gun. Taken was $3600, a laptop and a phone. It is not clear if they left in a car or not, but people may have been waiting for them outside.

8:39pm - 1) Battery in progress. 17XX N McVicker. 20 or more teens fighting in the street. 2) Gang disturbance. 3863 W Grand. Six in front throwing up signs and throwing things.

8:41pm - A slow down is being given on 1700 McVicker.

8:59pm - Suspicious vehicle. 24XX N Killpatrick.

9:01pm - Beat 2565Adam needs a transport unit at Meade and Bloomingdale to transport a couple of people in.

9:03pm - Burglar alarm. XX N Mayfield.

9:16pm - Shots Fired. Monroe and Lotus. Four heard, someone with black clothing was last seen running towards the currency exchange, which is on Madison near Lotus.

9:17pm - A slow down is being given on the 9:16pm job.

9:25pm - Robbery. Lockwood and Adam.

9:38pm - Hold-up alarm. 4528 W Division.

9:39pm - Foot chase. Congress and Lockwood. Running south. Beat 1582Adam is pursuing.

9:40pm - Woah, this guy just crossed the Eisenhower Expressway. He's trying to cross the Expressway. He's on the Blue Line tracks.

9:41pm - Beat car 1523Robert has an accident at Lockwood and Harrison. EMS needed. There's injures.

9:42pm - CTA needs to be notified about this. The guy's on the tracks.

9:43pm - Police/Dispatch chatter (garbled) going on.

9:44pm - The 9:41pm car has an AK47 in it. 1520 wants Bomb and Arson to be notified. Also, there's a westbound Blue Line train in a tunnel just west of Laramie that has been stopped.

9:45pm - 1510 possibly has the suspect under the viaduct of the Eisenhower Expressway at Central.

9:46pm - CTA is saying that everyone's gotta be out of the tunnel in order for them to turn off power. 1550 is saying that they can't wait for that.

9:47pm - The suspect may have gone as far west as Austin, at the Blue Line station.

9:48pm - Beat car 1533R is saying that the suspect is armed with an assault rifle. Officers are advised to use EXTREME caution. Suspect is wearing a red polo shirt, black jacket and has dreadlocks.

9:49 through 9:51pm - 1550 and 1523R are kind of arguing about the tunnel and something about the pumping station that's just south of the Eisenhower, near Laramie.

9:52pm - It's being said that one suspect is in custody, but that two are at large.

9:53pm - 1523R is saying that officers need to look for this guy in the area of the Rockne Stadium, on Roosevelt.

9:54pm - Cicero Police needs to be notified, as well as Oak Park. Also, the suspect might have went towards the Columbus Manor homes and "The Island" area, around Austin and Roosevelt.

9:55pm - One officer is saying that the suspect is at, possibly, Harrison and Central.

9:56pm - CPD is looking for the suspect around the Aidi and other places in that general area.

9:57pm - One officer said that they might have saw the offender at Harrison and Central. Male Black, red sweatshirt and braids.

9:58pm - The pumping station at 5523 W Lexington. Officers are on scene.

9:59pm - Officers need that train to be backed up in the tunnel.

10:00pm - There's a guy involved in this who has on a Superman jacket. He might be by the movie studios on Central.

10:01pm - Garbled transmissions. Couldn't really copy anything.

10:02pm - Suspect possibly went west into Forest Park or Oak Park. Cicero is being notified as we speak.

10:03pm - Beat 1510 is coming up on a suspect at Central and Roosevelt. He's wearing that Superman jacket. State Police are pulling up as well. Meanwhile, one officer is saying that there's a bus lot somewhere south of the Eisenhower with about 300 buses in it.

10:04pm - Beat 4606 is on their way. That's the SWAT team. Meanwhile, Beat car 1512 wants a perimeter set up around that bus lot.

10:08pm - The coopers need to be around the old Metra tracks, near Cicero, per 1522.

10:09pm - 1510 is reporting that there's an open gate near Laramie.

10:12pm - An RD number has been pulled from the incident. It's HV107767 with the event number of 17709.
10:13pm - Beat 6758 is talking to security at one of the factories over there, who's saying that they guy never went west.

10:14pm - PH 2 is on scene now. They want some information.

10:15pm - 1522, K9 and some other officers are about to go through the bus depot. Meanwhile, at a warehouse at Door 48, is saying that one of their doors are open, and that they didn't open it.

10:16 through 10:18pm - Again, garbled transmissions. They're talking about the warehouse and the tracks, though.

10:19pm - The assault rifle was seen on the Blue Line tracks.

10:20pm - Officers are arguing about the whole rifle thing.

10:21pm - Security at the warehouse is saying that the suspect was not armed.

10:22pm - Beat car 2512 is on a bona fide DOA at 26XX N Mulligan.

10:23pm - Door 48 at the factory is now closed.

10:24pm - There's three victims from this, and they need a ride into 15. 1510 will pick them up.

10:25pm - 1510 is being told to disregard. Meanwhile, the tunnel was just checked per 1550 and other officers, and no weapon has been found.

10:26pm - The helicopter is being requested to do infrared. Officers are searching the buses. This is at a school bus company.

10:30pm - Person Shot. Iowa and Waller. Man shot in the face.

10:31pm - The second suspect is now gone into the night. No trace of him. But the one with the red hoodie is still in the area.

10:32pm - Beat 2540 is giving a slow down on the 10:30pm job.

10:33pm - ALL officers must clear the bus depot. K-9 and SWAT are going to go loose in there. Meanwhile, Dispatch has a ticket now at Parkside and Iowa for the person shot.

10:35pm - Beat 1581A possibly has the suspect behind the Secretary Of State at 5230 W Lexington.

10:43pm - The second suspect might be in the area, too. He's got on a black ski mask and a black carhart jacket. Also, the main suspect is pretty cut up from hopping over a barbed wire fence from the expressway.

10:44pm - Beat car 2513R is getting several things on the Beat.

10:45pm - Person calling for help. 51XX W Bloomingdale. Tow truck driver needs CPD presence to tow a vehicle because of a threatening person.

10:46pm - A 15th District unit is getting some things on their Beat. Also, a slow down is being given on the 10:45pm job.

10:48pm - 1) Traffic accident. 49XX W Concord. 2) Beat car 2531R is getting things on their Beat.

11:24pm - Criminal trespass. 5025 W Washington. Male on the first floor of the vacant building.

11:39pm - Robbery. Lamon and Cortez. Caller and their friend were robbed by eight male youths.

Vicious Animal On Warren, Disturbance On Western

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 1:30pm. I'm finally back with this blog after taking a few days off. I had some other stuff I've had to take care. It's a nice day outside (for January), with the sun shining and temps in the lower 40s. Anyway, I'm going to mostly monitor Zone 3 today, but I'll also monitor Zones 12, 1, 10 and 2 a bit as well also. Here's crime for today.

1:32pm - Vicious animal. 32XX W Warren. White and brown adult pit bull is on the caller's front porch, not letting them come out.

1:56pm - Disturbance. 300 N Western. Unlicensed taco vendor throwing things into the street.

There's also a "battery in progress" call at Leavitt/Division, along with a gang disturbance call at 2222 W Divison and a battery just occurred at 1200 on Leavitt. There's a big fight occurring on the second call; on the 2222 call, they were shouting gang slogans at each other; on the 1200 call, they were scattering in different directions.

9:40pm - Person w/ a gun. Elizabeth and Huron. Two male Blacks following another male down the street.

9:45pm - A slow down is being given on the 9:40pm job.

9:50pm - Beat 1361Adam just heard a few loud reports just west of Artesian on Division. Another unit heard loud reports at LeMoyne and Artesian.

9:58pm - Beat 2161Boy has a car with a partial plate of Z676 that's refusing to stop. They're at Western and LeMoyne now.

9:59pm - A slow down is being given on the 9:58pm thing. The car stopped.

10:00pm - A disregard is being given now, but one car is needed to do paper on a traffic accident that just occurred with this car. Beat car 1424 is chosen to go over.

12:39am - Criminal Sexual Assault. 28XX N Damen. Caller was almost raped in the alley.

1:27am - Assist the citizen. 26XX W Touhy. Mother and child need help getting back in their car. Mother left the keys inside the car.

1:28am - Robbery in progress. 73XX N Seeley. Two people are entering the caller's apartment and are trying to rob them.

1:31am - Beat 2110 is at Cottage Grove and 43rd, making sure a large crowd from a party is dispersing peacefully.
