Vicious Animal On Warren, Disturbance On Western

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 1:30pm. I'm finally back with this blog after taking a few days off. I had some other stuff I've had to take care. It's a nice day outside (for January), with the sun shining and temps in the lower 40s. Anyway, I'm going to mostly monitor Zone 3 today, but I'll also monitor Zones 12, 1, 10 and 2 a bit as well also. Here's crime for today.

1:32pm - Vicious animal. 32XX W Warren. White and brown adult pit bull is on the caller's front porch, not letting them come out.

1:56pm - Disturbance. 300 N Western. Unlicensed taco vendor throwing things into the street.

2:33pm - 1) Parker. 3125 W Grand. 2) Disturbance. 15XX W Iowa. 2) Parker. 15XX W Cortez.

2:57pm - Suspicious vehicle. North/Milwaukee/Damen. Something about a car under the "L" tracks.

3:19pm - Burglar alarm. 21XX W Erie.

3:36pm - Disturbance w/ a mental. Oakley and Augusta. Female White with a blue jacket and long hair is standing in the street, talking to herself.

3:37pm - Parker. 14XX N Ashland. Tow zone.

3:42pm - A 13th District unit is doing a park check at Union. Event number is 10334.

4:19pm - Gang disturbance. Erie and Wood. Three in black sweatshirts flashing signs.

4:44pm - Person w/ a gun. Oakley and Division. Group of 20 teens fighting and a male Black, 18 years old, black/yellow hat and black hoodie has a black handgun. There's also a "battery in progress" call at Leavitt/Division, along with a gang disturbance call at 2222 W Divison and a battery just occurred at 1200 on Leavitt. There's a big fight occurring on the second call; on the 2222 call, they were shouting gang slogans at each other; on the 1200 call, they were scattering in different directions.

4:46pm - A slown down is being given on the 4:44pm job. A group went running towards Crystal on Leavitt, while another group ran towards Oakley.

4:47pm - Some of the teens are now running down the 1300 block of N Bell.

4:49pm - Beat 1365Adam is asking for an event number for 21XX W Randolph. It's 11480.

4:52pm - The kid with the gun from the 4:44pm job is hiding under a red car, according to a citizen.

4:56pm - Beat car 1421 is running a name from the incident.

5:07pm - Traffic accident. Superior and Damen.

5:08pm - Beat car 1313 has a street stop at Kedzie and Haddon.

5:15pm - Robbery. Iowa and Honore. Male Black, 5'8, 190 lbs, black leather jacket and jeans robbed the caller of their wallet and a bag.

5:16pm - Assault in progress. 15XX N Rockwell. Four males in front threatening the caller.

5:38pm - Disturbance. 2700 W Division. Male harassing customers in front of the Family Dollar.

5:41pm - Gang disturbance. 7XX N Ada. Two male Black teens flashing gang signs.

5:46pm - Disturbance. 1490 W Chicago. Homeless male in front refuses to leave.

5:50pm - Assault. North and Leavitt. Blue Chevy Trailblazer with two male Black young adults threatened to do bodily harm to the caller. The car has a plate of A974766.

6:55pm - Check the well being. Western and Lake. Female walking in circles in the street and into traffic. She was last seen heading south on Western.

7:05pm - Battery in progress. 2651 W Washington. Group of people fighting with bats and sticks behind the school.

7:18pm - Disturbance. 2620 W Hirsch. Group of kids loitering in front of the school.

7:28pm - Suspicious vehicle. 1XX N Cicero. People in a white car that's sitting on the corner.

7:32pm - Disturbance. At a park on Keeler on Beat 1711. Problem with kids loitering and causing a ruckus.

7:34pm - 1) A Mass Transit unit is doing a premise check at the Western Blue Line station (Forest Park branch). Event number is 14614. 2) Beat 7392Adam is doing a premise check at the Washington Red Line station. Event number is 14622.

7:35pm - Battery in progress. Harrison and California. Large crowd fighting in the street.

7:37pm - Reckless driver. Damen and Lawrence.

7:41pm - Battery report. Norweigan Hospital.

7:49pm - Beat car 1324 asks for an event number for a deployment mission. Event number is 14766.

7:50pm - 1365A asks for a premise check at 20XX W Randolph. Event number is 14779.

8:13pm - Shots Fired. 15XX W Walton. Three shots heard, males running east towards Greenview.

8:14pm - Two more calls of "Shots Fired", one on the 1500 block of W Walton and one at 9XX N Ashland.

8:29pm through 8:31pm - Beats 1361, 1361Boy and 1399 were mobling about the Ashland incident.

8:32pm - Landlord/tenant dispute. 8XX N Mozart.

8:35pm - Shots Fired. North/Damen/Milwaukee. One heard by a restrauant. Caller is a third party caller.

8:37pm - A slow down is being given on the 8:35pm call.

8:40pm - Officers were instructed to check out 1580 N Milwaukee on the 8:35pm call, and Beat car 1434 is there now, saying nothing's going on. A disregard is being given.

9:11pm - Commerical alarm. 2221 W Grand.

9:26pm - Theft. 2805 W Division. Male Hispanic, black jacket and pants, got a bag of chips from the gas station store and didn't pay for them. He's eating the chips in front and now refuses to leave.

9:40pm - Person w/ a gun. Elizabeth and Huron. Two male Blacks following another male down the street.

9:45pm - A slow down is being given on the 9:40pm job.

9:50pm - Beat 1361Adam just heard a few loud reports just west of Artesian on Division. Another unit heard loud reports at LeMoyne and Artesian.

9:51pm - Beat 1406Boy has six on the hood at 14XX N Washtenaw.

9:52pm - Disturbance. 2748 W Madison. Five or six teens going in and out of the store without buying anything.

9:53pm - A 14th District officer has a handwaver at Campbell and Hirsch, saying that shots were fired in the alley near Rockwell on Hirsch.

9:57pm - Beat car 1433 is asking for a burglary mission on the Beat.

9:58pm - Beat 2161Boy has a car with a partial plate of Z676 that's refusing to stop. They're at Western and LeMoyne now.

9:59pm - A slow down is being given on the 9:58pm thing. The car stopped.

10:00pm - A disregard is being given now, but one car is needed to do paper on a traffic accident that just occurred with this car. Beat car 1424 is chosen to go over.

10:02pm - Commerical alarm. 2XX N Paulina.

10:04pm - Commerical alarm. 13XX N California.

10:41pm - Beat 1406Charlie gets a prostitution call on the PDT.

10:46pm - Beat 5468Boy has a stop at Haddon and California.

10:59pm - Beat 1861Eddie has a foot chase. Spaulding and Potomac. Male doubling back. No further information at this time.

11:00pm - Still chasing in that area.

11:09pm - An officer is warning 1861E that the man they were chasing took a shot at an officer last month in that same general area. His name is Jermaine Owens, and he's about 5'9, 175 lbs, has black hair and brown eys with a green sweater on. He has an IR number of 1525837.

11:12pm - Beat 2561E wants 1861E to meet them at Division and Spaulding.

11:16pm - 1) Battery in progress. Homan and Pierce. Three males fighitng. 2) Beat car 1311Robert has a couple of curfews at 11XX N Ashland.

11:18pm - Beat 44Sam10Adam has a possible from 1861E's chase at Albany and Wabansia.

11:19pm - 1) Burglar alarm. 17XX W Beach. 2) A slow down is being given at Homan/Pierce.

11:20pm - Beat 1454 has a street stop at 14XX N Washtenaw.

11:23pm - Beat car 1421R has a couple of people on the hood at Pierce and Central Park.

11:56pm - A 13th District unit is warning all the units out there that there is about four to six Harrison Gent gang members up and down Ashland between Division and Augusta.
