Female Shot @ Division/Mason, Possible Overdose On Austin

Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. I'm monitoring Zone 12 for the most part today, but may monitor some other Zones this evening. Here's crime for today.

12:00am - 15th District officers have a female shot at Division and Mason. 1100 block of N Mason to be exact. Beat 1552Robert is being assigned to the paper.

12:01am - Victim was shot in her back. She's conscious and talking.

12:03am - EMS run. 14XX N Austin. Possible overdose.

12:04am - Crime scene tape is needed.

12:10am - Some people are saying the shots were fired on Division just east of Mason.

12:12am - 1) Suspicious person. 49XX W Schubert. Unknown person at the side door. 2) Beat 4563 has some casings at 1127 on Mason, looks like they were from a .50 caliber gun.

12:24am - Shots Fired. 8XX N Waller. Six to seven gunshots fired by two male Blacks with black hoodies on.

12:38am - 1) Disturbance. 1600 N LeClaire. Group of people loitering. 2) Loud music disturbance. 16XX N Kolmar.

8:23am - Burglary in progress. 47XX W LeMoyne. Someone's breaking into the caller's house.

9:05am - Shots Fired. 43XX W Kamerling. One shot heard by the ShotsSpotter over at CPD Headquarters.

9:47am - Disturbance. Parkside and Fullerton. Someone’s drinking by the BlockBuster.

10:20am - Burglar alarm. 50XX W Concord.

11:07am - Battery. Diversey and Laramie. Group of guys attacked the nephew. They fled east on Diversey towards LeClaire.

11:15am - Disturbance. 51XX W Wellington. Neighbor leaves the water on all day.

11:53am - Reckless driver. 2100 block of N Lockwood. Male teens are driving a red pick-up recklessly.

11:55am - Person wanted. 501 N Central. At the YMCA. In the management office.

1:51pm - Gang disturbance. Kilbourn and Parker. Group of gangbangers loitering on the corner.

4:51pm - Gang disturbance. Wellington and Central. They’re throwing bottles at cars.

5:03pm - EMS run. 13XX N Lawndale. Female passed out and hit her head as she fell.

5:37pm - CTA bus alarm. 3XX N Laramie. Alarm on CTA bus #1892 is going off, bus is headed towards West End on Laramie.

6:14pm - Disturbance. 17XX N Keystone. Guys hanging out in front.

6:56pm - Criminal trespass. 48XX W Rice.

7:03pm - Criminal damage. 2XX S Laramie. Man was shouting threats then proceeded to break out the caller’s windows.

7:30pm - 1) Person down. 12XX N Monticello. Behind the building. 2) Vice complaint. On 2515’s Beat.

12:21am - Assault in progress. Chicago and Latrobe. Group of people about to fight.

12:22am - Battery. 7XX N Central. Caller was bit in the face by another female.

12:38am - 1) Criminal damage. 59XX W Huron. Someone just busted out a window. 2) Couple of disturbances on 2533Robert's Beat.

12:39am - 1) Battery in progress. 30XX N Normandy. 2) Burglar alarm. 28XX N Rutherford. 3) Burglar alarm. 20XX N Harlem.

12:40am - Traffic accident. 5650 W Division.

1:02am - 1) Battery report. 12XX N Avers. 2) Person w/ a gun. Kildare and Kamerling. 50 to 60 people standing around on the corner with a male Black teenager who has dreads that's passing around a gun.

1:03am - Battery in progress. 13XX N Lorel. Several people fighting.

5:43pm - Beat 1545 has a suspect running. Rice and Cicero. Male Black with a black shirt running, holding his side. Headed north towards Iowa on Cicero.

5:44pm - Guy ran into the rear of 4845 W Iowa.

5:45pm - Beat 1505 is giving a slow down on Iowa. Everyone's okay.

5:46pm - Shots Fired. Laramie and Lake. Six shots fired.

5:47pm - 1) Beat 5353Mary is sitting at Laramie/Lake now and has heard nothing. A disregard is being given. 2) Beat 2566Charlie needs another car at 16XX N Kolmar. It's no emergency though. Beat car 2533 is coming over.

6:59pm - Narcotics. 7XX N Throop. Male Black in a white t-shirt is sitting in a car in front, selling.

7:00pm - Fire. Montrose Harbor. Tree.

8:26pm - Assault in progress. West End and Central. Large crowd is about to jump someone.

8:38pm - Person w/ a gun. 18XX N Keeler. Two male Hispanics, one with a white shirt and another with a blue shirt, are in a white Chevy with a gun. The guy in the white shirt is holding it and the guy in the blue has a big bag of drugs.

8:39pm - Beat 5332David has about 10 people in the alley at the 8:38pm job. Something’s going on.

8:40pm - Beat 2500, 25th District Commander, just had someone take off on him over at the 8:38pm job. Beat car 2532 is also in pursuit.

8:41pm - Beat car 1523 has a large crowd at Lotus and Jackson, looks like they’re going to start fighting.

8:42pm - 1523 is giving a slow down over at Lotus/Jackson.

8:43pm - Dispatch just got a call from 1523’s crowd. Battery in progress, several people jumping on one. 1523 says they’re headed towards Adams on Lotus.

9:21pm - 1) Criminal damage. XX N Lotus. Four male youths, aged 9 to 12, just kicked in the front window of the vacant building and are now running back and forth in the courtyard. 2) Disturbance. 54XX W Jackson. Group of guys on the caller’s porch, they asked them to leave but they said no. 3) Burglar alarm. 53XX W Race. 4) Suspicious person. 8XX N Lawler. 5) Criminal trespass. 2XX N Lamon. Guys on the porch of a boarded up house.

9:27pm - Person w/ a gun. 2XX N Central. Male Black, 18, tall, locks in his hair with a white shirt and blue jeans is armed with a gun.

9:59pm - Person Shot. 4400 W North Ave. At the BP gas station. Female was shot in the butt.

10:26pm - Beat 2544 is advising officers to use caution in the area of the 9:58pm job. Two people have been shot with a pellet gun there. They’re doing a report for the victim, who will not require hospitalization.

10:36pm - Battery in progress. Kamerling and Karlov. 50 males fighting on the street.

11:02pm - Suspicious person. 17XX N Meade. Unknown male Black with a blue shirt and blue jeans in the caller’s house threatening their mother and aunt, they are both scared. Not sure what’s going on.

11:22pm - Loud music disturbance. 14XX N Avers. Loud party.

11:24pm - 2532 just heard five loud reports just southeast of the back lot of the 25th District.

11:25pm - Beat car 2532Robert is at Luna and North Ave., and didn’t hear those loud reports. But another officer is confirming what 2532 heard. The shots are east of the Central Ave. bridge and south of the 25th District.

11:26pm - 2544 says the shots were fired at Bloomingdale and Long. They just talked to several citizens who said there were shots fired.

11:27pm - Beat 2563Eddie says the shots were around Lockwood or Latrobe on Bloomingdale.

Large Crowd On N. Michigan Ave, Disturbance On Superior

Good morning, everyone, it's 6:58pm. .

7:00pm - Beat 4541Adam has a crowd of 40 kids running down Michigan from Pearson, headed up towards Delaware. Looks like they're fighting people.

7:01pm - 1) Disturbance. 420 E Superior. 2) 4541A says those kids are now approaching Oak on Michigan.

7:02pm - 1) Burglar alarm. 10XX W Thorndale. 2) Disturbance. 6400 N Sheridan. Man causing a problem in the lobby.

7:04pm - Disturbance. 4459 N Broadway. Group of ten loitering in front.

7:05pm - Disturbance. 1450 W Irving Park Rd.

7:09pm - EMS run. 111 S Canal. Man passed out.

7:11pm - Battery in progress. Gladys and Kilpatrick. Several males beating up on one.

7:15pm - Holding the offender. 6525 W Diversey. At the Target. Female shoplifter.

7:16pm - Beat 1510 was just flagged down at Central and Jackson by a citizen who says there's a large fight in progress inside Columbus Park, right off Central. About 100 people involved. We've got quite a few units assigned to the park today for the Taste of Austin, so this is probably from that. The people are coming towards Central.

7:17pm - 1510 wants the Wagon, Beat 1571, to come over.

7:18pm - Beat 1553 is giving a slow down over by Columbus Park. Beat 1567Adam is on scene as well.

7:19pm - 1553 and 1571 are on patrol now from Jackson to Harrison on Central.

7:20pm - Couple of narcotics and disturbances on the 20 sector in 15.

7:38pm - Battery in progress. Austin and Jackson. Two calls. 100 people fighting at the Taste of Austin.

7:39pm - Beat 1560 is giving a total disregard at the 7:38pm job.

7:42pm - Beat 2530 is at Amundsen Park with Beat cars 2513 and 2531, handling some sort of skirmish that’s going on at the basketball tournament.

7:43pm - Assault in progress. 1XX S Menard. Group of people trying to fight the caller.

7:45pm - Suspicious person. On 2521’s Beat.

7:52pm - Beat 4563 and his team are working the area of Potomac-Lavergne-Wabansia-Parkside. He has Adam through Eddie.

7:59pm - Assault in progress. 55XX W Gladys. People gathered in front to fight the family.

8:00pm - Shots Fired. 50XX W Nelson. One gunshot heard.

8:08pm - Beat car 2521 says that nothing happened at the 8pm call. 19Paul.

8:11pm - 1) Gang disturbance. Potomac and Kildare. 2) 1571 has a big fight going on at Central and Gladys. More cars needed immediately.

8:15pm - 1571 is giving a slow down at Central/Gladys. Units are on scene.

8:16pm - Beat car 1523 has an O.C. discharge at Central/Gladys.

8:20pm - Battery in progress. 5800 block of W Erie. Large group of males fighting.

8:23pm - 1553 and 1571 are going to stay at Central/Gladys.

8:28pm - In 15 and in 25, supervisors are giving Dispatch permission to code out anonymous disturbances and loud music calls. There is too much going on tonight.

8:43pm - EMS run. Augusta and Central. High female.

9:00pm - Battery in progress. Austin/Jackson. 100 people fighting again.

9:04pm - Beat car 1513 says that the fight at Austin/Jackson is over, for now.

9:14pm - Beat 1500, 15th District Commander, needs some units at Central/Jackson.

9:15pm - A slow down is being given at Central/Jackson.

9:17pm - Person stabbed. 350 N Central. At the Green Line station. Two people were stabbed by an unknown male.

9:18pm - Beat 4566 just had two males take off from him on the 100 block of N LaPorte. One was wearing a green shirt and tan pants, and another was wearing a black shirt. Possibly jumped the fence at 150. They’re wanted for PCS.

9:27pm - 1500 wants 1553 and 1571 to come over to Central/Jackson. The festival’s about to close.

9:28pm - Beat 1552 is headed over to 1500’s location, because 1553 is in the station on paper. 1550 is coming also.

9:39pm - Battery in progress. 12XX N Menard. After-block party fight.

9:43pm - Beat car 1511 needs another unit to meet them between Madison and Adams on Central. They’ve got a crowd jumping on people’s cars.

9:58pm - Parker. On 2534’s Beat.

9:59pm - Loud music disturbance. 52XX W Adams. In the backyard.

10:02pm - 1) Loud music disturbance. 30XX N Nagle. 2) Suspicious vehicle. 38XX W North Ave.

10:03pm - 1) Shots Fired. LaFollete Park. Two gunshots heard. 2) Shots Fired. Lockwood and Crystal. Five shots fired. 3) Person w/ a gun. 17XX N Keystone. Male Hispanic with a red shirt just lifted it up and displayed a gun.

10:04pm - Battery. 58XX W Roosevelt. Neighbor was punched in the face by a guy blocking the driveway.

10:08pm - Shots Fired. 5300 W Potomac. Six heard.

10:09pm - Battery in progress. 5XX N Lavergne. Two men fighting with 20 people gathered.

10:20pm - 1) Person with a gun/robbery. Crystal and Kostner. Male Hispanic, tall, with a black and white durag, robbed the caller at gunpoint, then fled towards Kildare on Crystal. 2) Gang disturbance. 22XX N Kenneth.

10:21pm - Backlog in 25 at 22:21 hours.

10:25pm - Beat car 1133 has an on-view accident at Cicero and Washington.

10:26pm - Battery in progress. 5467 W Division. Teens fighting.

10:30pm - 1) Panic alarm. 27XX N Melvina. 2) Assault. 5657 W Fullerton. Woman was threatened. 3) Gang disturbance. 1700 block of N Lockwood.

10:44pm - Panic alarm. 5XX N Lavergne.

10:47pm - There’s a large crowd at Augusta and Menard that needs to be clear out. Beat 1555 and Beat car 1524 are coming.

10:52pm - Battery in progress. 5959 W Belmont. Fight in the store.

10:53pm - Shots Fired. 5300 W Palmer. Two cars shooting at each other. Event number is 18636.

10:54pm - Beat car 2511Robert is giving a slow down on the 10:52pm job.

10:59pm - Suspicious vehicle. 53XX W Parker. Car going up and down the alley, checking out the area.

11:03pm - 1) Battery in progress. Central and Harrison. Several females jumping on one. 2) Battery in progress. 5056 W Madison. Event number is 18873.

11:07pm - Police Helicopter #2 is over 5056 Madison and says there’s about 30 people on the ground, looking up at them.

11:21pm - Gang disturbance. Hirsch and Central.

11:24pm - 1) Disturbance. 2XX N Lorel. Teens loitering on the street. 2) Disturbance. 58XX W Augusta. People loitering.

11:25pm - Commercial alarm. 2650 N Narragansett. At the RadioShack.

11:26pm - Shots Fired. 22XX N Tripp. Several shots heard. Event number is 17537.

11:27pm - 1) Shots Fired. 22XX N Kenneth. 11 gunshots fired. Event number is 19459. 2) Beat car 2534 has a stop at 2100 N. Kenneth, needs another unit. Preferably a female. Beat car 2514Robert is coming over.

11:28pm - PH #1 is over the "Shots Fired" calls on Kenneth and on Tripp, saying that they're fireworks. They can see the fireworks being thrown up in the air.

11:31pm - Battery in progress. Karlov and Potomac. 20 people fighting.

11:33pm - Person Shot. XX S Parkside. Man shot, possible drive-by. Event number is 19516.

11:35pm - 1) Beat car 1512Robert has the Parkside victim. It’s bona fide. He’s in the alley behind 18 S Central. 2) Beat car 2533Robert has a big fight breaking out at Division and Keeler. More cars needed. Event number is 19602.

11:36pm - 1) Person Shot. XX S Central. Man shot in the alley. 2) 2533R is telling the units to step it up. It’s getting ugly over there.

11:37pm - We have two victims on Central. One is possibly dead, as he’s not breathing. Late teens to early 20s. Also, a slow down is being given at Division/Keeler.

11:45pm - 1) Shots Fired. 10XX S Monitor. Several gunshots fired. 2) Shots Fired. 52XX W Van Buren. Ten gunshots fired.

11:50pm - Assault in progress. Lotus and Quincy. Group about to fight. Event number is 19543.

11:54pm - 1) Shots Fired. 21XX N Mobile. Gunshots fired into the caller's home. 2) Shots Fired. 57XX W Augusta. Eight gunshots fired. 3) It's a homicide on the Central shooting. The RD number is HW412358 with the event number of 19516.

11:57pm - 1) Assault in progress. 12XX N Menard. People arguing in front. 2) Person w/ a gun. 21XX N Mulligan. Male Hispanic, 15 years old, with a faded mohawk and white t-shirt has a gun. He’s a gang member and with several others. He broke out the window at this location.

11:59pm - Shots Fired. Augusta and Massasoit. Several shots fired with 200 kids in the street dancing.

7:47pm - Disturbance. 47th Place and California. Male White with no shirt and gray pants is walking into traffic.

7:48pm - Battery in progress. 50XX W Jackson. Several guys jumping on one in the alley.

7:49pm - Disturbance. 1523 N Pulaski Rd. Man causing problems near the store.

8:28pm - Battery in progress. 52XX N Long. Group of kids fighting over a dog.

8:33pm - Assault in progress. 52XX W Foster. Group of ten teens about to fight in the alley.

9:03pm - Disturbance. 42XX N Harding. Group of people arguing in front.

9:06pm - Battery in progress. 56XX W Cornelia. Large group of males beating each other.

10:12pm - Parker. 33XX N Karlov. Car in the handicapped spot.

10:14pm - Check the well being. 59XX N Neva. Kids are playing some game in front and an elderly man living at this location is "scared".

10:16pm - Person down. 39XX N California. Man sleeping on the sidewalk.

10:19pm - 1) Disturbance. 3700 N Cicero. Group of people walking back and forth in the alley, yelling. 2) Loud music disturbance. 4200 block of N Richmond. Loud music in the middle of the block across from the school.

10:20pm - Battery in progress. 35XX N Kilpatrick. Tenants on the 2nd floor fighting.

10:23pm - Assault in progress. 31XX W Belle Plaine. Male friend is trying to break into the caller's back door.

10:27pm - Beat car 1722Robert is giving a slow down on the 10:23pm job.

10:31pm - Criminal damage. 71XX W Highland. Vehicle damaged and plates stolen.

10:33pm - Missing person report. 63XX Spokane. 81 year old male White named Peter, who's bald, with a red t-shirt, red sweatpants and beige shoes, is missing. Not sure how long he's been missing. He has Alzheimer's.

10:39pm - Disturbance. 47XX N Monticello. People yelling and making lots of noise in front and in back.

10:43pm - Burglar alarm. 6248 W Higgins.

10:45pm - 1) A slow down is being given on the 10:43pm job per Beat car 1613Robert. 2) Criminal damage. Monticello and Lawrence. Someone's breaking out windows, group of people are yelling.

10:53pm - Suspicious person. 58XX W Higgins. Two male Whites, one with a plaid shirt and jeans and the other with shorts, are lurking in front of the bulidng. One has a bike with him.

10:59pm - Disturbance. 48XX N Drake. Kids in the apartment above the caller's are running back and forth on the floor, causing a problem.

11:01pm - Beat car 1732 has a traffic stop at Belmont and Lowell.

11:14pm - Battery. 49XX W Dakin. Male who gets taken care of by the caller was punched in the nose, EMS en route. There is prior history at this location and both people usually get drunk. Offender is probably asleep and the caller is probably the offender because the last time, the guy was bleeding.

11:17pm - Beat 1605 is doing an ANOV at Shabbona Park.

11:21pm - Disturbance. Kilbourn Park. 20 people playing soccer after park hours.

11:25pm - Check the well being. 44XX N Harding. Female in the basement apartment is hitting her three children, one's a newborn baby.

11:26pm - Parker. Latrobe and Foster. Black 4-door Cadillac is sitting on the east side of the street with a "for sale" sign in the window. Event number is 18526.

11:29pm - Traffic accident. Belmont and Lockwood. Two cars, injuries.

11:40pm - Battery in progress. 55XX W Berteau. Fight in the parking lot.

11:41pm - Disturbance. 6043 W Addison. People smoking too loudly in front of the bar.

11:59pm - Loud music disturbance. 39XX N Pulaski.

Bud Billiken Parade Coverage

Good morning, everyone, it's 6:54am. .

6:59am - Cars on and near King Drive between 35th and 56th are to be towed.

7:16am - Cars that are being towed are being towed to the pound at 103rd and Doty Rd.

7:27am - Beat 207 is saying that one of the platoons must be missing an officer because there's an extra officer in the 2nd District station, waiting for their assignment.

8:12am - The official event number for the parade is 04755. CPD is also using a special event number of 122-150.

9:13am - Just as a reminder, but there are to be no cars parked on the service driver of King Drive.

9:14am - Beat 260 is assigned a car to keep an eye out on a parade float at King Drive and Garfield (55th).

9:23am - Beat 279 has a lost City I.D, wants to know if anyone called any in. Dispatch says negative. 279 says that if the person who lost this I.D. doesn't come to calm it, it needs to be taken back to the police and this time, DCFS.

9:30am - Beat 202, 2nd District Desk, is requesting curtosey parking on the 4700 block of S Calument, especially since there's a city lot over there. 202 is saying that these officers need to arrive at the back door of the station.

9:32am - Squads 1 to 4 are being advised that NO cars can be parked in the grassy area, per 207.

9:50am - Off-duty P.O. needs assistance at Oakwood and Langley who's holding a male.

10:39am - Beat 207Adam has a group of people trying to jump on a float at King Drive and 48th.

10:56am - Beat 207Boy has an elderly female in distress over at 4101 S King Drive. She just got out of the hospital and is sweating profusely. EMS is needed.

11:00am to 12:30pm - There was not much at all going on. At most, there were EMS requests along with children going missing. Provided we are still all here last year, I will definitely cover this time period.

12:30pm to 12:43pm - A couple of skirmishes started to occur along King Drive, mainly between 48th and 45th-ish. Group of 20 to about 50 kids on the street hanging out and gathering on the crowds.

12:44pm - We've got another fight. 50th inner king drive. About 50 to 75 people involved.

12:45pm - The crowd at 43rd calumet has dispersed.

12:46pm - Bunch of kids running down the 4500 block of S King Drive.

12:47pm - Another small crowd .

12:48pm - Man not breathing well at 3993 S King Drive.

Fight On Keystone, Man Jumps Off Roof On Belmont

Good morning, everyone, it's 5:34am. .

5:43am - Battery in progress. 40XX N Keystone. People fighting in front.

5:45am - Suspicious person. 7464 W Belmont. Male jumped off the roof of a building and is now walking towards Olcott on Belmont.

6:46am - Disturbance. 3212 W Addison. Female refusing to leave the bathroom at White Castle.

6:47am - Disturbance. Higgins and Harlem. Problem with a tow truck driver.

6:52am - 1) The 6:46am female left on her own. 2) Traffic accident. 5300 W Montrose. Two drivers arguing, no injures.

6:59am - Burglar alarm. 56XX N Kilbourn.

7:01am - Beat car 1623 has a broken water pipe in the middle of the 5300 block of W. Montrose, where that accident is, and it's flooding the entire westbound lane of Montrose.

7:02am - Traffic accident. Mozart and Grace.

7:35am - Parker. 45XX N Francisco.

7:53am - Burglary in progress. 34XX N Kilpatrick. Male wearing a blue vest and blue jeans is trying to break into the neighbor's house.

8:05am - Parker. 39XX N Neva.

8:21am - Check the well being. 6331 W Irving Park Rd. Female White in her 60s is walking towards Mobile on Irving Park with a Jewel's shopping cart.

8:24am - Traffic accident. St. Joesph and Delphia. Car was struck overnight out there.

8:52am - Suspicious vehicle. 56XX W Pensacola. Man has had his head on his steering wheel in his car for the last half hour.

9:30am - Burglar alarm. 58XX N Kingsdale.

10:21am - Vice complaint. On 1712's Beat.

11:22am - Municipal ordinance violation. 47XX N Monticello. People doing marijuana in the basement, you can smell it throughout the building.

2:29pm - Holding the offender. 6311 N Lincoln. At the Home Depot. Female shoplifter.

6:50pm - Vicious animal. 49XX W Ardmore. Pit bull is in front, scaring the neighbors.
