Shooting At Keystone And LeMoyne, W. Humboldt Park

A shooting occurred in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood Friday evening around 5:54pm.

Chicago Police responded to 1538 North Karlov to find a 15 year old male shot in the lower right leg.

The teenager told police he was shot on the corner of Keystone and LeMoyne by an occupant of a red vehicle, that sped east on LeMoyne. Five gunshots were fired, according to the victim.

Three 911 calls were placed on the incident, first reporting that four shots had been fired at LeMoyne and Pulaski Rd. The intersection of Karlov and Pierce, and 1500 N Karlov, was used as well.

On a related note, at 5:56pm, as this shooting was unfolding, Chicago Police received a "man with a gun" call at Kedvale and Cortland, four blocks from the shooting. A male Hispanic with a white hoodie supposedly had the gun. Although, CPD did not find anyone there when they responded.

A police report has been done for this crime, and Chicago Police are investigating.
