7:27pm - Disturbance. 257 E Huron. At Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Woman inside taping the emergency room on her cell phone camera.

7:29pm - Disturbance. 3257 W Harrison. At the Citgo gas station. People loitering on the lot.

7:32pm - Gang disturbance. Cortez and Kostner.

7:33pm - 1) Gang disturbance. 32XX S Lituanica. Eight gangbangers loitering. 2) Person w/ a gun. 51XX S Rockwell. Couple of calls. Male walking around with a gun.

7:36pm - Gang disturbance. 1200 block of W 18th St. Group of gang members going back and forth flashing signs, arguing, etc.

7:38pm - 1) Burglar alarm. 39XX W Van Buren. 2) Assault in progress. 38XX W Van Buren. Group about to fight.

8:29pm - Disturbance. 1800 N Mayfield. Kids playing basketball in the street.

Good Friday 2014

Good morning, and happy Good Friday, everyone. It's 10am. Sorry I haven't updated this blog in a VERY long time, but I've been terribly busy and haven't had much time to do anything other than school work at all. I do once again apologize for this huge gap in doing this blog, and I hope all of you can forgive me. Today, I'm monitoring on a special schedule in honor of Good Friday. Not only do I do this just to get a glimpse of crime around the city on a holiday such as this, but also out of respect to Christ (yes, I admit, I'm a Christian). I'll also be on a special schedule for Easter. This morning, I intend on monitoring the Zones in numerical order (i.e. Zone 1, Zone 2 and so on) starting from now until noon, then I'll be back around 9pm or 9:30pm for another round of monitoring until about 11:30pm or so. With that, here's crime on this Good Friday.

10:03am - Alarm. 3346 W Lawrence. At Ray's.

10:06am - Suspicious vehicle. 3800 block of N Panama. Two male Hispanics in a gold Chrysler with a plate of R974826 keeps going down the alley, checking out the houses.

10:12am - Parker. 11XX W Schubert. Problem over a parking space.

10:29am - Parker. 17XX W 18th St.

10:30am - Disturbance. 1922 S Wabash. 35 year old man causing a problem in front.

10:42am - Robbery. 65XX S Normal. Male Black, 5'8, slim build, black hoodie and blue jeans with a ski mask and black clothing just robbed the caller at gunpoint of $300 and their boyfriend of his cell phone. He fled in a tan van going towards 65th on Normal.

10:44am - Beat 765Eddie has a street stop at 4XX W 61st St.

10:45am - 1) Burglar alarm. 57XX S Justine. 2) Person wanted. 70XX S Sanagamon. Man named Hershey Richardson is wanted for telephone threats.

10:46am - 1) Barking dog. On 713's Beat. 2) Beat car 815 has a traffic stop at 41XX W 55th St.

10:47am - Criminal trespass. 56XX S Emerald. Group of males going in and out of a vacant house.

10:58am - 1) Vicious animal. On 324's Beat. 2) Narcotics. 71st and Bennett.

11:01am - Suspicious person. 79XX S Phillips. Male keeps pacing back and forth in front, he's been out there for the last 15 minutes.

11:02am - Alarm. 18XX W 80th St.

11:13am - 1) Beat 2262Eddie needs a female officer for a search at Halsted and 93rd. 2) Theft. 95th and May. Four male Blacks stole money from a woman waiting for the bus.

11:26am - Beat 1063David is dispersing three for gang loitering at Keeler and 24th. Console time is 11:26 and the event number is 06105.

11:29am - Person w/ a knife. 800 block of N Christiana.

11:32am - Beat car 2412 has a traffic stop at 29XX W Pratt.

11:33am - Assist the P.O. Francisco and Peterson. Homeland Security needs some assistance.

11:39am - A slow down is being given on the 11:33am job per Beat car 2411.

11:43am - Beat 2561Eddie has an on-view gang disturbance on the 2300 block of N Latrobe. They're okay.

9:47pm - Disturbance. 4333 W North Ave. At the McDonald's. Man blocking the doorway.

10:25pm - Gang disturbance. 78XX S Creiger. Group yelling signs in the street.

10:40pm - 1) Gang disturbance. 5900 block of S Morgan. Several gangbangers in a white van yelling out gang signs. 2) EMS run. 44th and Springfield. Man down.

10:53pm - Loud music disturbance. 10XX W Dickens.

11:02pm - Shots Fired. 21XX W Cullerton. Several shots fired on the block.

11:30pm - Suspicious vehicle. 4100 block of W Berteau. Car sitting on the north side of the street with its lights on for about an hour now.
