Man Shot In The Head In Albany Park

A shooting occurred in the Albany Park neighborhood around 1:40am Friday morning, according to reports from Chicago Police Zone 1.

17th District (Albany Park) officers responded to numerous calls of "Shots Fired" in the vicinity of Sunnyside and Troy, and found a male shot in the head. The man suffered a graze wound, according to officers.

The victim told police that the offender was a male Hispanic with a white t-shirt and short hair on a bike. He fled north towards Wilson on Troy.

Two shell casings were found on the northwest corner of Sunnyside and Troy following the shooting by police.

As of 3:00am Friday, there was no further information on the shooting. Chicago Police are investigating this shooting.
