10-1 On Jackson

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 4:25pm. I'm monitoring Zone 12 today for the most part, but will also a bit of Zones 13, 3 and 4. Here's crime for this afternoon and evening.

4:25pm - Beat car 1532 is calling a 10-1. 5107 W. Jackson, at the Columbus Manor home. High risk mental is trying to stab everyone on the scene, including officers. All available units are to go.

4:26pm - A slow down is being given on the 10-1. They've got the mental in custody. 1506Eddie has a taser deployment from this.

4:34pm - Person w/ a gun. 13XX N Mason. Caller had a gun pulled on them.

4:45pm - Assault. 57XX W Fullerton.

5:16pm - Assault in progress. Washington and Latrobe. Eight males arguing about drugs.

5:27pm - Burglar alarm. 29XX N Major.

5:28pm - Check the well being. 23XX N Nordica. 85 yr old woman hasn't been heard from in over a week. The niece is requesting the check.

5:46pm - Threatening suicide. 1526 N Pulaski. At the laundry mat. Caller feels suicidal.

5:50pm - Fire. Central and Armitage. Smell of smoke in the area.

6:47pm - Gang disturbance. 49XX W Medill. Six to seven flashing gang signs.

7:11pm - Person w/ a gun. 5100 S Wolcott. Male on the west side of the park with a gun. He's wearing a white shirt.

7:13pm - Foot pursuit. From the 7:11pm job. A 9th District unit is chasing a man with a white shirt east on 51st towards Honore. He's holding his side.

7:14pm - The offender is in custody at 1809 W 51st. He had an accomplice with him who also ran from CPD.

7:17pm - Disturbance. Madison and California. Male refusing to get off the CTA bus.

7:20pm - Sex offense. Dearborn and Delaware. Three females urinating in Washington Park.

8:24pm - Gang disturbance. Kildare and Dickens. Two of them chasing people.

8:29pm - Shots Fired. Dickens and Kildare. Few calls coming in for about seven to nine shots fired.

8:30pm - Multiple calls now coming in from the 8:24/8:29pm jobs. Calls of shots fired, a gang fight involving a group, and gang disturbances.

8:31 through 8:34pm - Calls are STILL coming in from Dickens and Kildare. Sounds like chaos is really unfolding over there. Also, there was a call at a building on the 2100 block of N Kildare where there were three males running north in the east alley of Kildare.

8:35pm - Person Shot. Kildare and Dickens.

8:36pm - Beat 2554 is on scene, going down that alley, looking for those males. The shooting is bona fide.

8:40pm - Battery in progress. Leamington and Division. 50 people fighting.

8:41pm - These males ran into someone's apartment, but ran back out. Also, officers and the Dispatcher are talking about this shooting, such as where to have a car sit for traffic control, the ambulance coming, where the crime scene is, etc.

8:46pm - Beat 1572 is giving a slow down is being given on the 8:40pm job. The crowd's dispersing.

8:50pm - 1572 is coding out the 8:40pm job.

10:00pm - As of now, from the Kildare and Dickens shooting, it is a homicide. A man has died as a result of his gunshot wounds. It was a gang-related shooting. Units are still over there, working the crime scene. Detectives are on scene talking to people.
