Good afternoon, everyone, it's 2pm. It's a mostly cloudy and hot afternoon, with temps in the mid 90s. It's supposed to be near 100 today, again, as it has been for the last week or so. We're in a heat wave, folks. Today, I'm monitoring just about all the Zones, and I'll be doing this tomorrow as well. This is a part of my July 3rd and 4th coverage, for Independence Day. I'm starting off with Zone 12 this afternoon, and I'll be monitoring this Zone until 3, then I'm switching over to Zone 3 for an hour. Zone 1 will follow at 4. Stay tuned for calls and crime on this July 3rd.
2:07pm - Apparently my coverage is starting out with a shooting. Units in 25 are working on a shooting that just happened in the 1200 block of N Springfield. One man was shot and was taken to the hospital by a friend. A car was also shot up.
2:23pm - Person w/ a gun. 5200 W Quincy. Males jumping on one have guns.
2:37pm - Open door. 47XX W Deming.
2:53pm - Beat 1556 has an open hydrant at Ohio and Menard.
2:54pm - Beat 1575Sam has an open hydrant at 59XX W Iowa. There's little kids playing in it.
2:55pm - EMS run. Pulaski and Potomac. 53 year old woman keeps falling out.
3:12pm - Beat car 1313 is doing foot patrol on the 3100 block of W Ohio.
3:16pm - Beat 1395 is taking one in from a traffic stop at 1148 W Grand.
3:25pm - Beat 1399 wants 1305 and Beat car 1311 to come see him about a direct patrol mission they'll be assigned to. They will not be taking anymore jobs today. So yeah, for those of you on Beat 1311, you don't have a Beat car until about 10pm tonight.

7:41pm - Beat 2573 is coding out the 7:35pm job.
7:47pm - 1) Open hydrant. Keating and LeMoyne. 2) Gang disturbance. 3863 W Grand. 3) EMS run. 5624 W Roosevelt. In the McDonalds. Male took some drugs and he's rolling on the floor now.
7:48pm - 1) Disturbance. 49XX W Quincy. 2) Disturbance. 8XX N Leamington.
7:49pm - 1) Disturbance. 3XX N Central. 2) Narcotics. Augusta and Lamon.
7:56pm - Found child. 31XX N Lotus. Toddler found.
8:00pm - Wanted for theft from Racine and Fullerton is a male Black with a red tanktop and black shorts. He stole some purses. This is per Beat car 1813.
8:01pm - Zone 4 covers the following neighborhoods: half of Lincoln Park, Near North Side, the Loop, Near South Side, the most eastern portion of the Near West Side and the northern portion of Douglas.
8:02pm - Sounds like the Racine/Fullerton is in custody.
8:04pm - Maybe not. They're still looking for a male in a green tanktop. This is per Beat 1841.
8:05pm - It's confirmed: The main offender is NOT in custody. They might have a second male still out there, too.
8:06pm to 8:08pm - Dispatch and officers are discussing what the offender looked like. A number of different descriptions are being thrown out there for tanktops. Black, green, even pink.
8:09pm - Suspicious person. 1247 W Fullerton. In the Starbucks. Two males ran into the bathroom and locked theirselves in there. This is related to the whole Racine/Fullerton thing.
8:10pm to 8:13pm - Officers and Dispatch are talking about the offenders being on the 1200 block of W Montana, up in 19.
8:13pm - They might have an offender in custody at Montana and Surey Ct.
8:14pm - Officers are saying that the offender ran possibly into a construction site.
8:16pm - Beat 1800XRay is saying that the construction site needs to be covered to ensure the offender doesn't escape from there. He also wants K9 ordered to have the dogs go in there and check.
8:17pm - Beat 1863David is covering the west side of the site, and 1812 is covering the north side of it. 1800X is covering the east side. The south side needs to be covered now.
8:18pm - All the sides of that construction site are covered. Only thing that needs to happen now is to get K9 out there.
8:19pm - Disturbance. 600 S State. Male staggering in the middle of the street.
8:20pm - Assault in progress. State and Lake. Two females threatening the caller.
8:21pm - Disturbance. 10XX N Crosby. Ten to 12 people congregating in the park area.
8:22pm - Narcotics. 10 E Ontario. People getting high in an apartment.
8:24pm - The 8:20pm job is being coded.
8:25pm - Suspicious person. 1838 N Clark. Two female Blacks in yellow vests are lurking in the building.
8:27pm - Fireworks. On 1833's Beat.
8:28pm - 1) Suspicious person. 1030 N Kingsbury. Female looking into the trash cans behind this location. 2) Disturbance. 50 E Chicago. Underage drinking in the bar.
8:30pm - Zone 7 is only one District, the 3rd District on Chicago's South Side. It entirely covers the Woodlawn neighborhood, and covers portions of the following neighborhoods: Washington Park, Greater Grand Crossing, Hyde Park and South Shore. I don't usually cover this Zone because it's really hard for me to pick it up on my radio due to me living on the Northwest Side of Chicago, and just so you all know, I probably won't get all the air traffic from this Zone due to the signal coming in and out.

8:47pm - Battery victim injured. 70XX S Chappel. Two people beat up the caller. EMS en route.
8:53pm - Shots Fired. Woodlawn and 62nd. Several heard.

8:56pm - A unit has a stop at 62nd and Rhodes.
9:00pm - Zone 5 is also only one District, the 2nd District on Chicago's South Side. It entirely covers the Kenwood, Grand Boulevard and Oakland neighborhoods, and it covers portions of the following neighborhoods: Armour Square, Douglas, Washington Park and Hyde Park.
9:01pm - Person stabbed. 42XX S Oakenwald. Caller was stabbed by his victim. He's a robbery offender.
9:03pm - The offender fled from the Oakenwald call.
9:09pm - Narcotics. 56XX S King Dr. Group of young males, 15 to 23 years old, are selling. Some have on white shirts, others no shirts, etc.
9:14pm - Battery in progress. 55XX S Wabash. Group of males fighting in the alley.
9:19pm - Sex offense. Lake Park and 37th. Male tried to expose himself to the caller's daughter.
9:22pm - The person stabbed on Oakenwald is the victim, not the offender. It's a home invasion and attempted robbery.
9:23pm - Battery. 61XX S Wabash.
9:24pm - Fireworks. 4900 S Drexel.
9:25pm - Beat car 223Robert has a traffic stop at 57th and Wentworth.
9:26pm - Narcotics. 40XX S Oakenwald. Nine males selling in front and are bouncing a basketball.
9:28pm - Narcotics. 57XX S LaSalle. Group in front loitering and smoking marijuana.
9:29pm - Narcotics. 3600 block of S Giles. Male Black, 5'7, slim build, white tanktop, keeps going up and down the block, selling marijuana.
9:30pm - Zone 13 covers the following neighborhoods: New City, Fuller Park, McKinley Park, Bridgeport, the northeastern portion of Gage Park, a good portion of Brighton Park, a good portion of the Lower West Side and most of the Near West Side.
9:31pm - Person wanted. 49XX S Wolcott. Male Black, white tanktop and black shorts, is wanted for battery. He's in the building.
9:35pm - Child left alone. 2333 W Jackson. 11 year old left by herself.
9:38pm - CSA report. Kedzie and 38th. Daughter was raped by the boyfriend.
9:39pm - Some call in 9.
9:42pm - Suspicious person. 32XX S Stewart. Three males up to no good in front, they're lurking around.
9:43pm - 1) Battery. Pershing and California. There was just a fight on the street. 2) Traffic accident. Kedzie and 39th Pl.
9:45pm - Gang disturbance. 32nd and Morgan. Group loitering, drinking, throwing up signs, threatening people, etc.
9:46pm - Assault in progress. 4459 S Washtenaw. Group of gangbangers in front are threatening to rob the store.
9:49pm - The 9:46pm job is now coming in as a robbery. A male was robbed. I believe in the store, too.
9:52pm - Battery report. Rush Hospital.
9:55pm - Person w/ a gun. 50XX S May.
9:59pm - Battery in progress. Kedzie and Pershing. Fight on the street.
10:00pm - Zone 11 covers the following neighborhoods: the northern portion of Uptown, most of Lincoln Square, Edgewater, Rogers Park and West Ridge.
10:01pm - Loud music disturbance. 20XX W Birchwood. In the backyard.
10:07pm - Beat car 2413R has a traffic stop at Richmond and Granville.
10:10pm through 10:15pm - Numerous fireworks complaints in 20 and 24.
10:26pm - Explosion. 20XX W Fargo. Real big explosion heard in the area. Probably just fireworks...
