Black Friday (Morning) Coverage
Good morning, everyone, it's 6:45am. It's Black Friday, and as you all probably know, it's the day where people go crazy in the malls overnight for all of the sales on items. So with that happening, I'm monitoring all of the Zones this morning until 10am, unless I hear a major incident on a specific Zone involving Black Friday, which then I'll cover that specific Zone until 1pm. Hopefully nothing bad will happen, though. I hope everyone is enjoying the start of the holiday season. I know I am. So with that, here's crime for this morning.
7:04am - All call message: Message number 202056 has been canceled for a Homicide offender that was wanted as of 06:02 hours (6:02am) on 25-Nov-11. Point to point is clear.
7:09am - Recover the stolen vehicle. 10XX N Elston.
7:32am - Disturbance. 5220 S Lake Park. At the McDonalds. Male causing problems inside.
7:45am - Check the well being. 4558 S Kedzie. At the Starbucks. 70 year old male looks disorientated.
7:48am - A disregard is being given on the 7:45am job. That Starbucks is at 4558 NORTH Kedzie, not south. Call's being transfered over to Zone 1.
7:51am - Beat car 815 has a stop in the alley behind 4050 S Cicero.
7:54am - 1) Burglary in progress. 64XX S Hoyne. People are in the rear, breaking in. 2) Disturbance. Garfield and Wells. At the gas station. Employee not giving back the correct amount of change.
7:55am - Beat car 712 says that the Garfield/Wells call is on the 9th District side. Call being transfered over to Zone 13.
7:57am - Burglar alarm. 64XX S Yale.
7:58am - Beat car 726 is going through the back of the property on Hoyne, while 731 is in the basement. 725 is on the side.
7:59am - Beat 789Charlie is informing Dispatch that a CTA driver informed them that a group of teens were breaking into a liquor store at Eberhart and 63rd. A ticket's being sent over to Zone 7.
8:02am - Parker. 79XX S Eberhart. Permits.
8:15am - Beat 1282Paul is doing a premise check at the Illinois Medical District Blue Line station, on the Odgen side.
8:17am - Beat car 1231 is doing a premise check at 1815 W Polk.
8:21am - Battery in progress. 54th and Justine. Two males beating on a female and pulling her down the street.
8:25am - Beat car 1233 is doing a premise check at the UIC-Halsted Blue Line station.
8:27am - 1231 is dispersing two for narcotics loitering at 13XX W Washburne. Console time is 08:27 and the event number is 03602.
8:29am - 1233 asks for two event numbers for two missions on his Beat. They're going to the PDT.
8:30am - Beat car 2514 has a traffic stop at Menard and Barry.
8:34am - Beat 1541 needs another car in front of 6XX N Laramie.
8:35am - A disregard is being given on Laramie. Offender is in custody.
8:39am - Traffic accident. 21XX N Mango. Hit and run to a parked car.
8:40am - Parker. On 2532's Beat.
8:46am - Assault in progress. Division and Central Park. CTA bus #1340 is standing west with the driver being threatened by a man who refuses to get off the bus.
8:56am - Beat car 2524 got the 8:46am woman off the bus. They're relocating her to Milwaukee and Division.
9:00am - Narcotics. 1625 W Howard. Two male Blacks, one with a blue Cubs jacket, are selling drugs in front.
9:02am - Beat 2404 asks for a burglary and robbery mission event number. It's 04010.
9:03am - A 24th District unit has a street stop at Rosemont and Talman.
9:19am - Theft. 1165 N Clark. Male Black, black coat, blue jeans and black/orange backpack took something from the CVS. He's walking on Division, towards LaSalle.
9:21am - Disturbance. 235 W Van Buren. Four males drinking between the restrauant and the residential building.
9:27am - Suspicious person. Wabash and 18th. Male Black, black sweater is trying to break into a car on the corner.
9:34am - Beat car 1032 asks for a Community Concern event number at 22XX W 21st Place. It's going on the PDT.
9:41am - Beat 6243Ida needs a female for a search at 9XX N Drake.
9:43am - 1) Narcotics. Washington and Hamlin. Two males selling drugs by a tree, near the park. 2) Disturbance. 12XX S Fairfield. Problem with the tenants.
9:47am - Theft report. 62XX S Calument. Son took the TV and he's on scene now.
9:49am - The 9:47am job is coded 19Charlie. There are no buildings on that block, or the 6100 block of Calument.
9:50am - Reckless driver. 72XX S South Chicago. Yellow truck all over the road.
10:03am -1) Burglar alarm. 25XX N Sheffield. 2) Assist the citizen. 13XX W Diversey.
10:12am - Criminal damage report. 39XX N Clarendon.
