Kids Throwing Eggs @ Wilwood Park, Disturbance On Damen

Good evening, everyone, it's 7:14pm. It's a pretty mild but windy Saturday night. It's in the 50s right now. Anyway, I'll be covering Zones 1, 10, 11 and 12 this evening, mainly Zone 12. Some of you wonder why I may mainly only monitor the West and South side Zones. I do it because there's Chicago blogs that, in my opinion, that pay way too much attention to crime on only the North side Lakefront neighborhoods and Downtown. I figure that there's people who would like to know about crimes occurring on the West and South sides, too, so that's mostly why I stick to Zones 1, 5, 6 and 10-13. Don't worry, however, I will cover the North side at times too :). Here's crime for this evening.

7:15pm - Disturbance. Wildwood Park. Kids throwing eggs at each other.

7:17pm - 1) Disturbance. 7340 N Damen. Patient at Thesholds is acting up. 2) Burglar report. 9XX W Carmen.

7:21pm - Gang disturbance. 23XX S Whipple. They're throwing bottles.

7:40pm - A 15th District unit has a foot chase at Lotus and Adams. No further info.

7:48pm - Assault in progress. Wellington and Cicero. A few calls coming in on it. Two groups of gangbangers are threatening each other. One's got a bat. Someone yelled "Go get the gun!".

7:49pm - Calls are still coming in. One's in the bathroom of the gas station with a gun. A lot of gangbangers outside. Basically choas going on.

7:50pm - A slow down is being given on the 7:48pm job. Calls are still coming in, though. One call says a group's running towards Keating on Wellington with bats, chasing another group. There's still a lot of them on the corner.

7:51pm - Officers are mobling with each other about the incident at Wellington and Cicero. They're searching a few of these gangbangers. A couple of more calls just came in, too.

7:58pm - Battery in progress. 48XX W Van Buren. Fight in an apartment.

8:00pm - Beat 45Sam71George heard two "loud reports" just now at North and Lotus.

8:02pm - Shots Fired. Marmora and Grand. Three heard.

8:04pm - A disregard is being given on the 8:02pm job.

8:05pm - 1) Parker. On 2512's Beat. 2) Parker. On 2535's Beat. 3) Theft report. 1XX N LeClaire.

8:19pm - Battery in progress. 41XX W Potomac. People fighting in the 1st floor apartment. Crashing sounds and children crying can be heard.

8:30pm - Beat 1561David is going to get two narcotics calls on the PDT.

8:31pm - 1) Disturbance. 5215 W Madison. In front of the food mart, a seemingly drunk male is causing problems. 2) Disturbance. 10XX N Mayfield. Loud "movie" party in the backyard. 3) Barking dog. On 2535's Beat.

8:33pm - Gang disturbance. Kamerling and Karlov.

9:29pm - 1) Burglar alarm. 17XX N Moody. 2) Two disturbances on 1532's Beat.

9:30pm - 1) Disturbance. On 1522's Beat. 2) Disturbance. Mayfield and Superior. Kids loitering.

10:12pm - Shots Fired. 4100 W Potomac. Several fired, a car that was in a vacant lot sped off.

10:13pm - Shots Fired. 24XX N Newcastle. Three heard.

10:14pm - Shots Fired. 24XX N Newcastle. Six shots fired, followed by a group chasing another group.

10:17pm - Beat car 1532Robert has a foot chase at 824 S Central. Two males running.

10:18pm - 1532R lost the two males. They jumped a fence by the factory.

10:19pm - The two guys are by the Blue Line tracks now.
