Happy New Year! (2014)

Good morning, everyone, and Happy New Year to everyone! It's 12:10am. I hope all of you are ringing in the new year safely and with your friends and loved ones. This is going to be a great year for all of us. Tonight, I am beginning my monitoring with Zone 1, and will be monitoring until 12:15, then Zone 11 will follow until 12:20. Zones 2, 4, 3, 13, 9, 7, 8, 12, 10 and 6 will follow on five minute intervals until 1:10. After 1:10, I'm going to return to the Zones that were most active and monitor those on five minute intervals again until about 2:15 or so. After this, I will be gone until 3pm, at which time I will start with Zone 1 again. I will monitor all of the Zones in the order I'm monitoring them right now, except it will be on 10-minute intervals. With that, here's crime for this first day of 2014.

12:20am - Shots Fired. 40XX N Maplewood.

12:22am - Commercial alarm. 4037 N Lincoln.

12:24am - Beat 1961David has an ANOV at 3501 N Clark. Event number is 00458.

12:27am - Battery in progress. 10 S Wabash. There's a fight at this location.

12:29am - 1) EMS run. 2XX W Kinize. Man passed out. 2) Battery in progress. Illinois and St. Clair. Two men fighting on CTA bus #1931.

12:33am - All Third Watch late cars in 14 are being released.

12:34am - EMS run. 1400 W Polk. Male in his 20s is staggering around in the middle of the street with no coat on.

12:37am - Shots Fired. 43XX S Marshfield. Gunshots heard, two types of guns are being used.

12:46am - Beat car 323Robert has a traffic stop at 7122 S Jeffrey.

12:48am - Criminal trespass in progress. 61XX S Langley. Group of males trespassing in the hallway.

12:50am - Power outage. 7600 block of S Phillips.

12:53am - Criminal damage. 76XX S State. Someone broke the caller's car tire.

12:54am - Burglar alarm. 8247 S Racine. At Mount Carmel church.

1:01am - 1) Shots Fired. 15XX S Kedvale. Three shots heard. 2) Battery in progress. 12XX S Kolin. People fighting.

1:04am - Battery in progress. 45XX W Jackson. 30 people fighting on the 1st floor.

1:11am - Disturbance. 4029 N Western. Intoxicated female was walking around but then fell in the snow.

1:16am - Suspicious person. 9XX W Webster. Someone's trying to break down the caller's back door.

1:19am - 1) Disturbance. 1000 N Lakeshore Drive. Intoxicated female is disrupting people in the building. 2) Beat 120Robert is doing a premise check at 1501 S Clark.

1:28am - Disturbance. California and Polk. Problem on the party bus.

3:00pm - I'm back. Good afternoon, everyone. Starting off my monitoring with Zone 1.

3:05pm - Commercial alarm. 37XX N Mozart.

3:06pm - Traffic accident. 53XX W School.

3:10pm - Criminal trespass in progress. 5750 N Kenmore. Former tenant of the building is looking into the closed manager's office.

3:11pm - Beat car 2431 has a handwaver at 12XX W Columbia.

3:35pm - Disturbance. 1001 W North Ave. At the Starbucks. Man refusing to leave.

3:57pm - Criminal damage. 25XX W 46th St. Known man just threw a rock through the caller's window.

4:01pm - Person w/ a gun. 131st and Eillis. Male Black with a maroon hat and gray coat has a gun.

4:15pm - Traffic accident. 6300 S State St. Two cars.
