Puerto Rican Festival 2013 Day #3 Coverage

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 5:15pm. Monitoring the Puerto Rican Festival in Humboldt Park once again today. My boundaries will once again be Beats 1211 and 1212. We'll see how it goes today.

5:20pm - Disturbance. 27XX W Augusta. Large group in front causing a ruckus.

5:38pm - Battery. 8XX N Mozart. Caller was beaten up in front.

5:56pm - Disturbance. 2700 block of W Division. Large group gathering all up and down the block, a few calls are coming in.

6:11pm - Couple of calls for a disturbance and parking issues on the 900 block of N Washtenaw.

6:30pm - Gang disturbance. Division and Washtenaw. Large group on the corner.

6:33pm - A slow down is being given on the 6:30pm job. Everything's fine.

7:14pm - Beat 1299 is letting the units in 12 know that there's filming going on this evening, from 5 until 11pm, at 28XX W Thomas. Beat 4082Adam is detailed there.

7:19pm - Traffic barricades needed at Division/Washtenaw.

7:22pm - Beat 2520 has North closed off at Central Park, headed east towards the Festival.

7:44pm - A unit is dispersing one for gang loitering at 2653 W Division. Console time is 19:44 and the event number is 15766.

8:15pm - 1) Parker. 900 block of N Washtenaw. Permits. 2) Disturbance. 11XX N Mozart.

8:37pm - Battery report. Norwegian Hospital.

8:38pm - Disturbance. 27XX W Augusta. Loud party goes from the PR Fest.

8:42pm - Battery in progress. 26XX W Augusta. Group fighting in the gangway.

8:43pm - A disregard is being given on the 8:42pm job per Beat 1268. They're there already.

9:18pm - We've got a big fight breaking out. 2731 W Division. More cars are needed.

9:19pm - And just like that, a slow down is being given at 2731 Division, per Beat car 1212.

9:26pm - Foot chase. Foot chase. Running south on Washtenaw from Division is a male Hispanic with a black sleeveless t-shirt and blue jeans has a gun. Beat 4312Charlie is in pursuit.

9:27pm - Still running south. Past Haddon on Washtenaw.

9:29pm - Police Helicopter #1 is in the air, looking for the offender.

9:40pm - Beat 1465David is giving information that a female was just shot in a black vehicle over at Division and Mozart and Division. Victim is headed to St. Mary's at this time. No further information.

9:43pm - There's some conflict as into what side of Division this shooting happened on. Some people are saying 14, others are saying 12. Either way, Beat car 1213Robert is being assigned to do the paper at St. Mary's.

9:45pm - Now it's being said the female was NOT shot. She was hit with a bottle.

9:48pm - Foot chase. Foot chase. Walton and Rockwell. Male holding his side, headed west on Walton from Rockwell.

10:00pm - Shots Fired. 9XX N California. Three heard.

11:33pm - Robbery. 21XX W Haddon. Caller was robbed of their purse at knife point in front of the apartment building.

11:34pm - Battery. 27XX W Augusta. Gangbangers just punched the caller's dad in the face.

11:40pm - Wanted from the 11:33pm job are two male Blacks, one who is about 6 feet tall and the other who is 5'9. They were wearing dark clothing and were last seen fleeing west on Haddon towards Leavitt. They took a purse, an iPad and an iPhone.

11:58pm - 1) Loud music disturbance. 8XX N California. 2) Disturbance. Richmond and Augusta. Five people drinking near the alley and they also have loud music playing.
