Burglar Alarm On Meade
Good afternoon, everyone, it's 1:34pm. It's a partly cloudy afternoon with temps in the lower 80s, and it's supposed to stay pretty much like this, except that there may be some rain and storms later this afternoon. I'm monitoring Zone 12 today, but will monitor some other Zones sometime this evening.
1:35pm - Burglar alarm. 16XX N Meade.
2:00pm - EMS run. 24XX N Lorel. Female having trouble breathing.
2:18pm - Beat 2543 is doing a park check at Blackhawk.
2:13pm - 1) Check the well being. 16XX N Monitor. 6 year old female shallowed some perm solution. Poison Control was being notified. 2) Burglar alarm. 11XX S Mayfield.
2:19pm - Gang disturbance. 7XX N Mayfield.
2:27pm - Battery in progress. Ferdinand and Lavergne. Three people fighitng and someone's swinging a crutch.
2:30pm - A slow down is being given on the 2:27pm job per Beat car 1532.
2:31pm - 1532 is saying that the fight's broken up for now, but he'll stay in the area for a while.
2:33pm - Disturbance. 4217 W North Ave. At the hair design school. Intoxicated female causing problems in the main office.
2:34pm - 1532 needs a couple cars over there, he needs a presence. Large group over there and they don't intend on moving. Beat 1572, the wagon, is right down the street. Meanwhile, someone's calling in a big fight at 930 N Lavergne and they need more cars.
2:35pm - Dispatch is obviously confused as into where 930 N Lavergne is and how far it's from the corner of Ferdinand/Lavergne. Because 1532 and 1572 are saying they're okay, but 1572 is also saying they're at 930.
2:36pm - And Dispatch's getting angry now because she's confused. Her and 1572 are starting to go back and forth, with 1532 also involved in the argument. 1572 is now saying that 1532 is at the 930 address, but they're at the corner there, now at 930.
2:38pm - A disregard is being given at 930 now per Beat 6758Charlie. But Dispatch's still confused and basically blames 1572 for her confused. She doesn't have a clue what's going on at 930, and someone tells her there was a fight.
2:40pm - 1) Beat 6767 is clearing up any confusion on Dispatch's part by saying that there were two separate things going on on Lavergne. From 930, Beat car 1511 will be taking one in for battery to a P.O. But everything's okay and no more help is needed. 2) Battery in progress. 10XX N Lamon. 15 females fighting and a car with a plate of K463277 is trying to run people over. Bats and poles are involved.
2:42pm - 1) Beat 1562Eddie has a street stop at 48XX W. Jackson, needs a transport car. Beat 1552 is on the way. 2) Animal bite. West Suburban Hospital.
2:43pm - 1572 needs more cars at the 2:40pm fight immeadiately. There's a real big fight going on. Beat 1554 is on scene, too, calling for cars. Beat car 1531, the unit assigned to the call, is two blocks away. In addition, Beat cars 1524 and 1533 are heading over, with Beats 1542 and 1585.
2:43pm - 6767 is giving a slow down on Lamon now, but the units can keep coming.
2:44pm - 1572 needs EMS over there now. Someone's been hit over the head. Meanwhile, Beat 6758Adam is taking one in from 930 and thanks everyone for help.
2:45pm - Beat 2500, the 25th District Commander, wants the 2562 team to patrol the 1000 block of Lamon area for the rest of their tour.
2:50pm - They have three victims now over on Lamon. Two people were hit in the head with poles and one was maced.
2:54pm - Beat 1599, 15th District Watch Commander, is wondering if there's a supervisor on scene. 6767 is there, and Beat 1520 is on the way.
2:55pm - Disturbance. 58XX W Superior. Guy just broke open the fire hydrant.
2:56pm - EMS run. 23XX N Neva. 82 year old collapsed in the hallway.
2:58pm - Traffic accident. 11XX N Massasoit.
3:01pm - Burglary. 27XX N Mulligan. Male Hispanic on a bike broke into the caller's property and stole some things.
3:02pm - 1) Narcotics. 29XX N Keating. Someone put a marijuana plant in the aunt's backyard.
3:04pm - Assault in progress. 52XX W Monroe. Argument over a dumpster being placed in front of a building.
3:05pm - I have some other things I need to do, so I'm going to go for a few hours. I'll be back.

9:48pm - Assault in progress. 4250 W North Ave. Known male is threatening the caller.
9:56pm - 1) Burglary in progress. 5960 W North Ave. 2) Beat car 2521Robert has a street stop at melrose cicero.
9:58pm - Battery. 12XX N Mayfield. Known female jumped the caller and broke the caller's car window.
9:59pm - Commerical alarm. 4440 W North Ave.
10:02pm - 1) Disturbance. 4900 W Iowa. Group gathering on the corner/sidewalk and being too loud. 2) Disturbance. 10XX N Lavergne. Kids being too loud outside.
10:04pm - Criminal damage. 2515 N Laramie. Someone broke the window to the barber shop.
10:31pm - Battery report. 10XX N Lamon. Caller was beaten up earlier in that big fight. They went to the hospital but didn't want a report at the time. They want one now.
