Back-2-School For Year-Round CPS Schools: Day #3
Good afternoon, everyone, it's 3pm. It's a partly cloudy afternoon, and it's warm. Temps are in the mid 80s. I'm covering just about all of the Zones this afternoon, to monitor the year-round CPS schools that are getting out at this time, and I just want to make sure all goes well as the kids go home. I'll also be monitoring tomorrow morning. Well, with that, here's crime for this part of the afternoon.
3:00pm - 1) Narcotics. 11XX N Monticello. Guys selling drugs. 2) Narcotics. 3700 W Thomas. Group selling and swearing at the senior citizens. 3) Narcotics. 3700 W Congress. Male selling.
3:03pm - 1) Parker. 30XX S Komensky. 2) Beat 1105 is doing a park check at Homan Square.
3:05pm - Burglar alarm. 9XX N St. Louis.
3:09pm - 1) Fire. Polk and Springfield. Building, people are getting out. 2) Burglar alarm. 18XX S Kedzie.
3:13pm - 1) Beat 6712Frank needs a female officer for a search at 58XX S Normal. Beat car 725 will head over. 2) Kidnapping in progress. Halsted and 63rd. Two male Blacks, 23 years old, in a white/blue car, are trying to grab a female with red hair.
3:15pm - Disturbance w/ a mental. 6120 S Kedzie. In front of the Chicago Lawn library, a male is exhibiting some sort of mental illness.
3:25pm - Fire. 72XX S Ridgeland. Smoke alarm is going off.
3:31pm - Beat 205Charlie needs EMS at 809 E. Pershing, in the park. There's a man falling out.
3:34pm - Person w/ a knife. 53XX S Calument. Four females fighting and a female Black with a gray tanktop and shorts has a knife.
3:35pm - Disturbance w/ a mental. 5600 S Stony Island. 27 year old female acting out on the playground.
3:36pm - 1) Assault. 43XX S Lake Park. Man named Vincent just threatened the caller. 2) Vice complaint. 42XX S Cottage Grove.
3:40pm - The 3:34pm job is a 1Paul per Beat 276.
3:42pm - Beat 185George is doing a robbery mission. Event number is 07578.
3:43pm - Beat 174Foot is doing a CTA check at the Roosevelt station. Event number is 11484.
3:46pm - Beat car 1821 is dispersing a group of loiters at 13XX N Sedgwick. Dispatch says he had a call on the board over at 4XX W. Evergreen, but it's probably the same thing.
3:51pm - Beat 693 has an on-view traffic accident at Madison and Halsted with injures. EMS needed.
3:56pm - Apparently there was a shooting a little earlier on the 1900 block of W Cullerton. Man was shot in the head and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital. There's a crime scene, too.
3:59pm - Gang disturbance. St. Louis and 38th. Group throwing up signs and representing.
4:08pm - Disturbance. Wilson and Broadway. Man dancing in the street.
4:14pm - Check the well being. 49XX W Belle Plaine.
4:18pm - Burglary report. 48XX W Cornelia.
4:22pm - Suspicious person. 3000 W Arthur. Male loitering in the building with no I.D. or anything on him.
