Sign Loose At Hanson Park Stadium

Good morning, everyone, it's 11am. It's a cloudy and warm day, with temps getting to near 80 today. Storms possible too. We'll see how that goes. Anyway, I'm monitoring mostly Zone 12 today, but will also monitor a bit of Zones 2, 10 and 11. Here's crime for today.


11:00am - Beat car 2514 is at Fullerton and Central, near the stadium, with a sign that's hanging by only one screw. CPS needs to be notified because with the windy conditions today, the sign will probably come loose and it may kill someone.

11:05am - Beat car 2535 has a street stop at Lawndale and Division.

11:08am - Battery report. 14XX N Waller. Male classmate kicked the caller's daughter in the stomach last night.

11:09am - Beat 5754David needs a car at 3XX N Lavergne. 1595 is going over. They're trying to place someone in custody.

11:20am - Narcotics. Erie and Menard. Four to five male Blacks loitering on the corner and selling drugs.

11:21am - 1595 is taking 5754D's suspect in.

11:28am - 2514 just talked to someone from CPS about the sign and no one's available to get it down, so CFD is going to be called.

11:30am - CFD is responding to 2514's situation.

11:35am - Narcotics. 5756 W Chicago. Males selling rocks and blows.

11:39am - Parker. On 2521's and 2532's Beats.

11:48am - 2514 says that CFD is requesting a CPS supervisor on scene.

11:54am - Criminal trespass. 7XX N Lotus. Six people in the building and they don't live there.

11:55am - Narcotics. Laramie and Maypole. Male selling drugs.

12:00pm - 1) Beat 2599 wants Dispatch to make notes of who they contact regarding the sign so that when the sign falls on someone's head, someone else can go to federal court with them. 2) Beat car 1531 needs CFD and EMS at 4919 W Lake. There's just been a motorcycle accident and someone's hurt. 1542 is heading over for traffic control.

12:21pm - Someone from CPS is on their way for 2514's incident.

12:22pm - Residential alarm. 55XX W Potomac.

12:23pm - 1) Traffic accident. Laramie and Washington. Property damage only. 2) Missing person report. 54XX W Galewood.

12:30pm - Narcotics. 5153 W Chicago.

12:33pm - EMS run. 7XX N Laramie.

12:34pm - Battery in progress. 7118 W Grand. At the laundromat. Female smacking an old lady in a folding chair.

12:36pm - Shots Fired. Belden and Lockwood. Three male Hispanics, one wearing a red shirt, and black shorts, took off in a gray Volkswagon Jeta with a partial plate of H99.

12:39pm - Beat 2561 has someone telling him that a kid wearing a red t-shirt and black cap was possibly involved at the 12:36pm job. He fled on foot.

12:41pm - Beat 1510 wants to know if anyone ordered a tow on the Lake accident. 1531 said she didn't order a tow because the victim's friend said they would take care of it. But 1510 wants a tow ordered because it's blocking a lane. Beat 1583 is being told to go.

12:44pm - Battery. 2XX N LaCrosse. Caller just got into a fight with a known female, who was wearing a black shirt and jogging pants.

12:51pm - Criminal trespass. 5758 W Fillmore. Male who appears to be high refuses to leave the Churches' Chicken.

12:54pm - 1) Holding the offender. 4650 W North Ave. At Walmart. 2) 2514 is saying that someone's going to take care of that sign today.

12:55pm - Missing from 54XX W Galewood is a female Black named Lakayla Murphy, 17 years old, 5'4, 130 lbs, medium build, brown hair, short hair, brown eyes, light complected, last seen wearing a yellow shirt, blue joggers and gym shoes. An RD number has been pulled from this, and it's HV243054 with the event number of 07425.

12:59pm - The RD number from the Lake accident is HV243018.

1:03pm - An RD number has been pulled from the 12:44pm job. It's HV243064 with the event number of 08127.

1:04pm - 1) Narcotics. 58XX W Rice. Eight males selling. 2) Narcotics. 57XX W Augusta. Three. 3) Narcotics. Latrobe and Ohio. 4) Narcotics. Ferdinand and Lavergne.

1:05pm - Check the well being. 22XX N Moblie. Two little kids in front in just their diapers. Caller thinks they're being mistreated.

1:10pm - Residential alarm. 1XX N Latrobe.

1:19pm - Barking dog. 16XX N Tripp.

1:25pm - Beat car 2531 is doing foot patrol at 5724 W North Ave., in the Conflict Zone. The Austin Library is located at this address.

1:26pm - Disturbance. 5540 W North Ave. Male selling loose cigarettes in front.

1:29pm - Traffic accident. Long and Lake. Gray Infinity with a partial plate of K19 was involved in a hit-and-run.

1:33pm - Assault. 501 N Laramie. Caller had a bottle thrown at him at the store.

1:36pm - Animal bite. 30XX N Nottingham.

1:44pm - Disturbance w/ a mental. 53XX W Monroe. 11 year old. She had a knife but the caller took it away from her.

1:57pm - CFD run. Wellington and Harlem. Lady on the corner feeling dizzy.

2:08pm - Beat 1550 has a fight going on at Central and Quincy. Another car needed.

2:36pm - Holding the offender. 4650 W North Ave.

2:40pm - Vicious animal. 21XX N Laramie. Caller was bitten by a dog.

3:39pm - 1) Assault. 45XX W Wrightwood. 2) Gang disturbance. 16XX N Kildare.

3:40pm - Assault in progress. Ohio and Central. Group of males trying to beat up the 12 year old.

3:43pm - Fire. 50XX W Washington.

3:44pm - 1) Narcotics. Lorel and Belden. Six gangbangers selling. 2) Parker. 43XX W Palmer. 3) Narcotics. 5360 W Division. 4) Missing person report. 15XX N Monticello.

3:48pm - Burglar alarm. 30XX N Nashville.

4:03pm - Person stabbed. Loretto Hospital.

4:17pm - Disturbance. 4601 W Armitage. At Lincoln Towing.

4:20pm - EMS run. On 2533's Beat.

4:58pm - Gang disturbance. Potomac and Springfield. Six of them loitering and throwing up gang signs.

5:10pm - Disturbance. Lamon and St. Paul. Kids loitering.

5:15pm - Municipal ordinance violation. 2400 N Cicero. At the JJ Peppers. Something about some faulty food.

5:16pm - 1) Fire. 27XX N Mulligan. Someone's burning something in the backyard. 2) Person w/ a gun. Ohio and Cicero. Six male Blacks in front of the liquor store and one that has on black clothing has the gun.

5:20pm - Theft. Laramie and Fullerton. At the Dollar Island store. Male Middie Eastern with a white jacket with an eagle on it stole the caller's cell phone.

5:32pm - 1) They're calling back on the 4:58pm job. 2) Assault in progress. Potomac and Keeler. Group of males chasing one.

6:00pm - Parkers. In 15.

6:30pm - Battery in progress. Keeler and Cortland. Three males fighting.

7:11pm - Disturbance. 1106 W Thorndale. At the Thorndale Red Line station. Two male Whites are slamming the exit doors everytime a customer comes by, hitting the exiting customers.

7:16pm - A slow down is being given at Roosevelt and Spaulding for some sort of incident that's occurring with Cicero Police.

7:17pm - Disturbance. St. Louis and 18th.

7:18pm - Animal abuse. 30XX N Honore. Dog left out in the rain. Aww :(...

8:00pm - Person w/ a gun. Fulton and Pine. Someone's got a pistol and another person is running after that person, yelling at them.
