Gang Disturbance On Lawler

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 5:45pm. It's a partly cloudy evening with temps in the 50s. Tonight will get into the upper 30s. We'll see how it goes. I'm mointoring mostly Zone 12 for the evening, but will also monitor Zones 1, 11, 10 and 2 a bit as well. Here's crime for this late afternoon and early evening.


5:48pm - Gang disturbance. 2200 block of N Lawler. Four to five of them out there, hide in a garage when the CPD drives by.

5:50pm - Beat 1510 has an on-view disturbance at Lake and Central.

5:52pm - Beat 2566 needs another car in the alley at 22XX N Lawler. 2515 is going, as well as 2522.

5:54pm - A disregard is being given on 1510's thing.

5:55pm - A slow down is being given on 2566's thing.

6:00pm - 1) Narcotics and parker on 1522's Beat. 2) Person w/ a gun. Marmora and Altgeld. Male White with an orange hoodie and blue jeans is on the corner, waving a gun around.

6:01pm - Beat car 2511 has a handwaver at Belmont and Melvina.

6:02pm - Beat 2520 is giving a slow down at Marmora/Altgeld.

6:06pm - Marmora/Altgeld is a 19Boy, per 2520.

6:14pm - Criminal trespass. 27 N Long. Two males were trying to get into the vacant building but were scared away by the neighbor.

6:18pm - Disturbance. 12XX N Springfield. Group playing basketball in the alley.

6:19pm - Assault. 18XX N Kedvale. Male who is leasing the garage threatened to kill the caller. He's in a green truck.

6:23pm - Disturbance. XX N Lockwood. Kids playing in the alley.

6:25pm - Beat car 2512 has a handwaver at Meade and Wrightwood, near Rils Park. Apparently, there's a sliver Impala with an Ohio plate of EWS1183 that has gang members in it throwing up gang signs and what not in the area. 2512 is touring the area now.

6:35pm - Traffic accident. Chicago and Laramie. Teen's foot was ran over by a car.

6:38pm - Person w/ a knife. Austin and Grand. Male Black, blue hoodie and blue jeans is threatening to stab another male.

6:39pm - The 6:38pm job is now a "robbery in progress". In front of the chicken place. Victim is trying to fight off two male Black teens, one who is wearing a green hoodie and the other who is wearing a black hoodie.

6:41pm - Beat car 2523 is on the 6:38/6:39pm jobs and is talking to someone who says everything is all right over there. Also, 2512 has a possible at Belden and Austin.

6:42pm - Beat 6758Henry has the victim at Meade and Grand, who's saying it was just a dispute with his son.

6:43pm - Disturbance. 4600 W North Ave. Two kids playing on the railroad tracks.

6:44pm - Looks like the whole Austin/Grand caper won't be bona fide. Victim wants nothing done.

6:45pm - Criminal trespass. 1218 N Mayfield. At the vacant house.

7:34pm - Beat car 2515 has a stop at 1930 N Central.

7:38pm - Beat 1562Eddie is pulling an RD number for a "1811" from 54XX W Walton. It's HV255137 with the event number of 14494.

7:40pm - Beat 1562David is pulling an RD number for a "2027" from 48XX W Gladys. It's HV255139 with the event number of 14534.

7:44pm - Beat 2542 has a lot of people stopped at Potomac and Austin, on Oak Park's side. Another car needed.

7:46pm - Beat car 1511 has a traffic stop at Mayfield and Erie.

7:47pm - Holding the offender. 6525 W Diversey.

7:48pm - Person Stabbed. Lake and Central. Male stabbed in the stomach six times.

7:51pm - Narcotics. 48XX W Adams. Four males selling in front.

7:54pm - The 7:48pm guy is now at 3XX N Pine.

7:57pm - Battery. 50XX W Adams. Caller was jumped on.

7:58pm - 1) Beat 1510 has a handwaver at 501 N. Central, at the YMCA, about a landlord/tenant dispute. He'll handle it. 2) Beat car 1533 is asking for a call back on the 7:57pm job. No answer. Coded 18Boy.

7:59pm - Gang disturbance. 4124 W North Ave.

8:04pm - A disregard is being given on the 7:58pm job.

8:17pm - Beat car 2533 is doing foot patrol on the 5000 block of W Division.

8:43pm - Gang disturbance. Lavergne and Altgeld. Six of them on the corner, flashing gang signs.

8:52pm - Burglary in progress. 49XX W Drummond. Two males are breaking into the caller's house.

8:55pm - A disregard is being given on the 8:52pm job.

9:05pm - Disturbance. Chicago and Long. Group of kids throwing rocks at passing buses.

9:18pm - Burglar alarm. 29XX N Major.

9:20pm - Vice complaint. 63XX W Giddings. Males playing loud music from a vehicle and possibly smoking weed.

9:24pm - Gang disturbance. Winthrop and Berwyn. Four guys in the street, throwing up gang signs.

9:34pm - Beat 1044 has a street stop at Roosevelt and Homan.

9:35pm - Beat car 1924 has a traffic stop at Jensen and Roscoe.
