St. Patrick's Day Parade Detail

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 12:00pm. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of my Irish people out there! It's a warm St. Pat's Day, and sunny, so it's perfect weather for a parade. Traditionally, for the Chicago Police Department, they set up a special detail for parades, including this particular parade, each year. This year, the St. Patrick's Day Parade Detail is officially on Citywide 6 (460.250). Though, you will also hear them talking about it on Citywide 7 (460.300), as well as Zone 4 (1st and 18th Districts; 460.150). The parade is being held in Downtown Chicago. I'm going to cover any and all calls and radio dispatches for the parade until the parade is over. The parade should be over by mid to late afternoon, by 6pm the latest. Here's the St. Patrick's Day Parade Detail coverage, only found here on Timmy's Chicago Crime Blotter. Enjoy!

As soon as 3700 opens up Columbus, the traffic units are going back over to Citywide 2 (460.175). After that, everyone's off of Citywide 6.

3:55pm - I'm off of Citywide 6 now. Listening to Zone 4 for a litle bit, and then my coverage of this detail is over.
