Street Stop @ Adams And Laramie

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 5:40pm. It's a sunny afternoon with temps in the upper 60s. Beautiful day. Unfortunately, though, crime's gone up the roof. I'm monitoring mostly Zone 12 once again today, but will also monitor Zone 11 a little. Here's crime for this afternoon and evening.

5:42pm - Beat 1582Adam has a street stop at Adams and Laramie.

5:43pm - Person w/ a gun. Lavergne and Altgeld. Male Hispanic, 25, blue shirt and biege pants tucked a chrome handgun into his pocket.

5:50pm - Person w/ a gun. 5500 block of W Monroe. Male pulled up his white shirt and displayed a gun. He's standing there with 20 teenagers.

5:54pm - Foot chase. 5500 W Adams. Male Black with a green t-shirt and blue jeans is running south, towards Quincy.

5:55pm - Running down Quincy.

5:57pm - In the yard at 211 S Central.

5:58pm - 1) Battery in progress. Erie and Lamon. School kids fighting. 2) Traffic accident. 6XX N Lorel. 3 year old girl hit by a car.

6:02pm - 1) Theft. 3845 W North Ave. At Family Dollar. 2) Burglar alarm. 13XX N Central. 3) Burglar alarm. 69XX W Wellington. 4) Commerical alarm. 5852 W North Ave. 5) Gang disturbance. Parkside and Barry.

6:10pm - 1) Bus alarm. 4454 W Diversey. 2) Gang disturbance. 3000 N Major. 3) Burglar alarm. 16XX N Nordica.

6:15pm - Traffic accident. 1200 N Pulaski.

6:17pm - Traffic accident. Lowell and Fullerton. Property damage.

6:28pm - Shots Fired. 14XX N Long. Seven heard.

6:30pm - Beat 1571 needs more cars at 5500 W Monroe. Large fight on the block.

6:31pm - There's a person shot from the 6:28pm job. Male shot.

6:33pm - A slow down is being given on the 6:30pm thing. They're clearing out, or at least trying to, the crowd now.

6:42pm - 24th District units are discussing an incident that occurred on the 1700 block of W Wallen.

6:43pm - Burglar alarm. 2763 W Devon.

6:46pm - I'm going to go until around 9pm or so. I'll be back then.

9:10pm - I'm back.

9:11pm - Assault in progress. 10XX N Pine. Man who was just fighting someone ran into the caller's apartment and now a large crowd is out there, throwing rocks at the caller's home.

9:26pm - Shots Fired. 51XX W Thomas.
