Traffic Accidents @ Lawrence/Drake and Spokane/Devon

Good evening, everyone, it's 7:09pm. It's a warm evening in Chicago. It's in the 80s. I'm going to cover Zones 1, 4, 10 and 12 this evening. Here's crime.

7:12pm - Traffic accident. Lawrence and Drake.

7:14pm - Traffic accident. Devon and Spokane.

7:19pm - Person down. State and Jackson. Person laying in the middle of the sidewalk.

7:22pm - 1) A 10th District unit has an open hydrant in the 1600 block of S Homan. 2) Animal abuse. 5XX N Drake. Dog left in the backyard.

7:32pm - 1) Gang disturbance. Fullerton and Meade. 2) Burglar report. 54XX W Parker. 3) Beat 2566Charlie needs a car with a PDT at Wabansia and Latrobe.

7:41pm - Battery in progress. Palmer and Kilbourn.

9:27pm - Gang disturbance. 14XX N Lotus.

9:46pm - Traffic accident. Jackson and Cicero.

9:47pm - Battery in progress. 2600 N Newland. Gangbangers fighting.

9:48pm - Beat 2520 is on scene, needs another car or two. A couple of units are going.

9:49pm - Dispatch is getting numerous calls at Wrightwood and Newland, as well as Wrightwood and Normandy. I don't think they're related, though.

9:50pm - 2520 is yelling that he's ok. He doesn't want anymore help.

9:52pm - 2520 says that the gangbangers were Milwaukee Kings. Bricks were involved in this mess, and CPD is looking for a maroon vehicle.

10:11pm - Suspicious person. 49XX W Altgeld. Group of males riding around in a van, trying to open garage doors and what not.

10:17pm - Battery in progress. Austin and North. Large group of males brawling in the street.

10:19pm - The 10:17pm job is now coming in as "Shots Fired", at an address on the 1500 block of N Austin. Three shots heard, large group fighting. Sticks and bottles involved. Also, a 16Adam unit has a stop at Nelson and New England.

10:20pm - Calls still coming in at North Ave. and Austin. All hell's breaking loose.

10:21pm - 2520 is at the mayhem. He says they're all in front of the Subway on North, heading towards McVicker.

10:22pm - A slow down is being given on the 10:21pm job. The crowd's scattering. 2520 is talking to a couple of people who confirm shots being fired.

10:24pm - Beat 45Sam16 has a traffic stop at 1317 on Mason.

10:26pm - Foot chase. 1700 N Meade. Male Black in red heading north.

10:27pm - East in the yards on McVicker on the 1700 block. He's holding his side.

10:28pm - Beat 2549Robert is on scene but can't find the chasing unit.

10:29pm - They lost the guy in between Austin and McVicker on the 1700 block.

10:30pm - There's a group home at 1735 on McVicker, and he may have went that way. The unit lost him at 1732.

10:33pm - Person w/ a gun. 15XX N Central.

10:36pm - Battery in progress. 5331 W Belmont. Male jumping on the tattoo parlor in the tattoo place.

10:37pm - Municipal ordinance violation. 2400 N Meade. Loud ice cream truck.

10:39pm - Shots Fired. 1700 block of N Melvina. 10 shots heard by Amundsen Park.

10:44pm - Elmwood Park Police are reporting that a bunch of males displayed pistols at 2144 N Harlem.

10:48pm - Another unit is needed, no emergency though, at LeMonyne and Long.

10:51pm - DUI driver. 24XX N Lotus. Drunk driver in the area.

10:53pm - Assist the PO. Wellington and Austin. 16th District is chasing a unit, going south on Austin towards George. They're chasing a red truck.

10:54pm - East on Diversey towards Mason.

10:55pm - North on Marmora from Diversey.

10:56pm - West in the alley around George and Mason.

10:58pm - Subject is in custody at 5719 on Diversey. Beat 6750 is giving a total disregard.

11:01pm - Battery in progress. LeMoyne and Laramie. Eight males beating on one.

11:02pm - Criminal trespass. 50XX W Augusta. Group of kids broke a lock off the door and are loitering in front.

11:05pm - Battery in progress. 48XX W Wabansia. People fighting in front. There were "Shots Fired" at this address about an hour ago.

11:08pm - Gambling. 1700 block of N Mason. Males in the middle of the block.

11:09pm - Shots Fired. Luna and North. Five heard.

11:10pm - Battery in progress. Central Park and LeMoyne. Bunch of people fighting in the street.

11:27pm - Battery in progress. 4800 W Augusta. Big fight in the alley.

11:28pm - Beat car 1511Robert can't find anything on the 11:27pm job. They'll check Lamon between Cortez and Augusta.

11:29pm - Beat 1563Boy found the fight. It might be a domestic, as it involves some broken windows. It's at 4844 on Augusta.
