Block Party Closing Needed @ 49/Wolcott, Shots Fired at Wolcott/18

Good evening, everyone, it's 7:15pm. It's a hot summer day here in Chi-town. It's in the 80s. Tonight, it may storm, but it looks right now it'll be clear. We'll see. Anyway, I am monitoring Zones 3, 10 and 13 this evening. Zone 3 has the 13th and 14th Districts, Zone 10 is home to the 10th and 11th Districts, and Zone 13 has the 9th and 12th Districts. Lastly, as I said yesterday, I will not be doing this blog tomorrow or Monday. I need to be focused on my primary blog since it's the weekend of the 4th of July. It's always busy, so I think it's best if I just stick with that. Here's crime in the city for this evening.

7:16pm - Beat 900 wants a block party shut down on the 4900 block of S Wolcott. Dispatch is sending 931 to him to help him do that. 946 is also heading that way.

7:18pm - Shots Fired. 18th and Wolcott. By Harrison Park, gangbangers are running through the park and are shooting.

7:22pm - Battery in progress. Maplewood and Harrison. Group of males fighting.

7:23pm - 1) Beat car 1022 is on a stop at Douglas and Drake. 2) Shots Fired. 23rd and California. Gangbangers shooting.

7:24pm - A ticket for an "assault in progress" is coming in for California and 23. Group of males are running around, looking like they're either chasing somebody or are looking for somebody.

7:35pm - EMS run. Kedzie Green Line Station. Male with a "broken head".

8:05pm - Person w/ a gun. Division and Kedzie. Male trying to fight with people and he's got a gun.

8:57pm - 1) Loud music disturbance. 14XX W Walton. 2) Disturbance. 1152 N Milwaukee. Two drunks out in front.

10:13pm - Burglar alarm. 14XX W Hubbard.

10:16pm - Fireworks. 800 block of N Wood. From a rooftop.

10:19pm - Disturbance. 32XX W Beach. Kids running through the alley and there's a strong odor of marijuana.

10:26pm - Fireworks. Cortez and Paulina. Dangerous fireworks going off.

10:30pm - Battery in progress. Wicker Park. Two people are fighting and a crowd is gathering.

10:31pm - Fireworks in 13 at 17XX W Chicago and 17XX W Erie.

10:32pm - A disregard is being given on the Wicker Park fight.

10:45pm - Fireworks. 8XX N Mozart. In the vacant lot.

10:53pm - Disturbance. Paulina and Cortez.

11:14pm - Disturbance. Ohio and Troy. Large crowd loitering.

11:15pm - Beat car 1323Robert asks for a Community Concern event number for the McDonalds at 23 N Western. The number is 23909.

11:21pm - Fireworks. Iowa and Campbell.

11:23pm - Fireworks. Schiller and Leavitt.

11:29pm - Person w/ a gun. North and Kedzie. Male Black with a white t-shirt on a bike was just seen heading into Humboldt Park with a gun.

11:31pm - Beat car 1332R has a traffic stop at Chicago and Western.

11:32pm - Arson in progress. 2400 block of W Rice. Group of kids have a spray can that is setting stuff on fire.

11:33pm - Disturbance. 1300 block of N St. Louis. Males breaking bottles.

11:36pm - A unit has a stop at Chicago and Campbell.

11:42pm - Disturbance. Noble and Division. Cab fare dispute.

11:43pm - Fireworks. 15XX N Western.
