Tickets Written On Adams, Parker On Huron

Good morning, everyone, it's 10:10am. It's a cloudy morning with temps in the upper 40s, approaching 50. Today's temps will be in the mid 50s with some rain. I'm monitoring Zone 3 from now until 5:10pm, then again after 9:30. I'll probably cover some other Zones as well this evening around 7pm or so. Here's crime for today.

10:20am - Beat 1242 has a handwaver at 22XX W Adams. He's writing some tickets for something.

11:14am - Parker. 11XX W Huron.

11:37am - Burglar alarm. 17XX W 18th.

11:49am - Check the well being. 18XX S May. Social worker from UIC is trying to locate a family of a patient who’s in the hospital.

11:55am - Check the well being. 1059 W 13th. Several small children, ages 10 and under, are running around the school unattended.

12:07pm - Traffic accident. Washington and Green. Caller and the grandmother were involved in an accident, grandma is injured. EMS is en route.

12:16pm - Beat car 1233 is doing an anti-violence reduction mission on the Beat. Event number is 06778.

12:30pm - Traffic accident. 707 W Maxwell.

12:31pm - 1) Battery in progress. 13XX W 14th. People fighting at this location. 2) Parker. On 1234’s Beat.

12:33pm - 1) Parker. 15XX W Cortez. Permits. 2) Beat 1230 needs another unit or two on the 14th St. job at 12:31pm. Male having a seizure with a commotion in the background. EMS is needed.

12:59pm - Suspicious person. Wood and Harrison. Male Black, mid 40s with a black hoodie and black pants is walking by the old church building, looking into the parked cars. He has a small bag and walks with a limp.

1:02pm - Traffic accident. Division and Wood. Multiple calls (about 10). Someone’s been hit by a car.

1:03pm - Beat car 1424 is on a traffic stop at 1918 W Division and says a citizen just came up to him, saying a bicyclist was hit at Division/Wood.

1:14pm - Information for the CPD. 400 S Racine. In the parking lot on the northwest corner, there’s a black car in the parking lot that rolled over the curb. It appears to be out of gear and it might go in the street.

1:16pm - Two parkers on 1224’s Beat.

1:20pm - Burglar alarm. 1014 W Van Buren. At the auto body shop.

1:22pm - Disturbance. Oakley and Congress. Female with a child is in the middle of the street, begging for money.

1:24pm - Looks like there were two accidents at Division/Wood. The main party was hit at 1801 on Division and the second one is at 1751.

1:26pm - Battery victim injured. Chicago and Marshfield. Someone was battered and robbed on the street at this location.

1:29pm - 1233 is dispersing two for narcotics at 13XX W 13th. Console time is 13:29 and the event number is 07842.

1:30pm - 1) Disturbance. 1559 W 18th. 2) Parker. On 1233’s Beat.

1:38pm - Beat car 1224 has a traffic stop at 1001 W Madison.

1:50pm - Battery. 1256 S Halsted. Employer just battered the caller.

1:53pm - 1) Backlog in 12 at 13:53 hours. 2) Commercial alarm. 333 N Odgen. 3) Disturbance. 1550 W 18th St. 4) Disturbance. 21XX W 18th. 5) Disturbance. Ashland and Chicago.

1:54pm - Beat 1220 is clearing out a drunk from the ATM at the bank at 800 N Ashland.

1:55pm - 1220 has the drunk cleared out from that ATM. Also, Beat car 1224 is asking for a call back on the 1:50pm job.

2:06pm - Parker. 1950 W Cermak. Residential.

2:07pm - 1) Disturbance. 13XX W Chestnut. Group of nine men drinking alcohol by the park. 2) Battery report. St. Mary’s Hospital. 3) Parker. 8XX N Paulina. 4) Disturbance. 15XX W 18th. Cars and trucks are blocking the alley as part of a construction project that does NOT have a permit.

2:36pm - Beat car 1225 has a traffic stop at Adams and Ashland.

2:40pm - Criminal trespass in progress. California and Fulton. Two male Blacks, one with a blue jean jacket and black pants, and the other one with a gray hoodie and blue jeans, just climbed over the fence to the pallet place and are in the lot now, possibly stealing pallet. They have a red shopping cart waiting for them.

2:43pm - There’s another call over at the 2:40pm job. The company’s closed.

2:44pm - Suspicious person. 18XX W Rice. Male White with a black baseball cap, facial hair, blue jean jacket and light gray basketball shorts is taking pictures of license plates on cars in the area.

2:46pm - Beat 1265 is doing a stationary patrol on the 2100 block of W Randolph. Event number is 08979.

2:51pm - Disturbance. Van Buren and Oakley. Woman begging by the Eisenhower ramp.

3:45pm - EMS run. 21XX W Huron. Possible DOA.

4:02pm - 1) Vice complaint. 27XX W Maypole. Dice game. 2) Burglar alarm. 13XX W Huron.

4:06pm - Parker. 20XX W Iowa. Vehicle blocking the driveway.

4:07pm - Gang disturbance. Blue Island and 18th. Eight rival gang members are yelling and screaming at each other.

4:10pm - Check the well being. 1459 N Milwaukee Ave. Male White with a black hat is sitting on the ground, bleeding from his face. He says he fell but he’s refusing EMS.

4:17pm - Disturbance. 300 S Damen. Problem with the security guard in the building.

4:44pm - Beat 1402, 14th District Desk, is pulling two event numbers. First one is for a robbery mission and the other one is for a gang suppression mission on 1422’s Beat. Robbery is 08327 and gang is 08323.

4:45pm - Open door. 15XX N Leavitt. Back door.

4:46pm - Battery in progress. Chicago and Ada. Two male Hispanics wearing white t-shirts and jeans are beating up on one in the alley, group of 10 fighting, etc.

4:48pm - 1) Narcotics. 9XX N Richmond. Selling. 2) Narcotics. 1000 N Mozart. Selling. 3) Loud music disturbance. 15XX W Ohio. Live band on the rooftop. 4) Traffic accident. 1932 W Odgen. Two cars, non-drivable. 5) Commercial alarm. 1454 W Superior. At Noble College Prep.

5:11pm - Beat 1265Boy is doing a park check at Starr. Event number is 11163.

7:48pm - Beat 4532 has a traffic stop at 60XX S Rockwell.

9:56pm - Beat 1265Adam is doing a premise check at 1342 W. 15th, in one of the apartments. Event number is 15812.

10:02pm - Check the well being. 1500 S Damen. There appears to be a body under the viaduct.

10:03pm - Beat 1461David has a street stop at 3215 W North Ave.

10:17pm - Burglar alarm. 1231 S Damen. At UIC College Prep.

10:18pm - Parker. 1565 N Milwaukee Ave. Black 4-door Ford Fusion at the loading zone.

10:20pm - Loud music disturbance. Willard and Huron. Loud party.

10:24pm - Traffic accident. Hubbard and Halsted. Non-drivable.

10:26pm - 1) Parker. 2100 block of W Haddon. 2) Car alarm. 20XX W Iowa. 3) Disturbance. 21XX W Adams. Ten to 12 people drinking and partying in the street, loud music blasting from a car.

10:34pm - Burglar alarm. 8XX W Randolph.

10:35pm - Disturbance. 17XX S Paulina. Group of teens causing problems, they’re headed towards 18th.

10:37pm - Disturbance. 1111 S Lafflin. Problem with some noise per security.

10:38pm - Beat 1480 is doing a park check at Pulaski. Event number is 16493.

10:47pm - Loud music disturbance. 22XX W Ohio. Outside.

10:51pm - Loud music disturbance. 2340 W Adams. Loud party.

11:00pm - Suspicious person. 17XX W 21st Place. Unknown male Hispanic wearing a black shirt has been pacing in front of the caller’s house for a few houses, caller’s nervous now.

11:01pm - 1) Holding the offender. 1516 N Milwaukee Ave. At Nick’s Beer Garden. They’re holding an intoxicated man on the ground for causing a disturbance. 2) Suspicious vehicle. 10XX N Marshfield. In the rear, a black 4-door SUV is sitting unoccupied in the middle of the alley.

11:04pm - Criminal trespass in progress. 15XX N Talman. Several people living in the vacant garage, they changed the locks and there’s a lot of noise.

11:05pm - Disturbance. Oakley and Monroe. Five males on the corner, not sure what they’re up to.

11:10pm - 1) Burglar alarm. 1211 W Roosevelt Rd. At the CVS. 2) Disturbance. 3100 block of W Chicago. Male Black wearing a blue hat is selling cigarettes on the corner.

11:19pm - Disturbance. 1700 block of W 18th. Man cussing and shouting loudly on the block.

11:25pm - Burglary in progress. 8XX W Randolph. Someone broke into something.

11:28pm - 1) Beats 1461 and 1461Eddie are on a traffic stop at Potomac and Homan. Beat car 1423Roert is with them. 2) Disturbance. 5XX N Hartland Ct. Five to ten people are in front drinking, they’re outside of a silver Mercedes.

11:31pm - Loud music disturbance. 19XX W Schiller.

11:39pm - Holding the offender. 1101 W Jackson. At the Target. Female shoplifter.

11:47pm - Beat car 1233R has a traffic stop at Loomis and Washburne.

11:56pm - Loud music disturbance. 9XX W 18th Pl. From the house.
