High School Dismissals On Zone 12
Good afternoon, everyone, it's 2:06pm. It's a sunny afternoon with temps in the mid 40s. It's going to drop down into the upper 30s with clear skies this evening. The weather's finally getting warmer :). I'm covering mostly Zone 12 today, but will cover some other Zones as well. Here's crime for this afternoon and portions of this evening.
2:08pm - Beat car 2525 is at Steminez High School for their dismissal.
2:21pm - Beat 1520 is at Austin High School for their dismissal. He would like a car to be detailed to the corner of Fulton and Central, and another one to be assigned to Pine and West End.
2:40pm - Beat 2573 is at the Foreman High School dismissal.
2:41pm - More cars needed at Steminez, on the Barry side. 2525's got a fight.
2:42pm - Beat 6750Ida and 2577Sam are enroute to Steminez.
2:44pm - A slow down is being given at Steminez.
2:48pm - Assault. 4555 W North Ave.
5:05pm - Shots Fired. Central and Belmont. Four males shooting.
5:06pm - 1) Gang disturbance. Wrightwood and Central. By the Shell gas station, four are flashing. 2) Gang disturbance. Springfield and Grand.
5:07pm - Traffic accident. Fullerton and Monitor.
5:08pm - Child left alone. Grand and Armitage. Baby locked in a car.
5:09pm - A disregard is being given on the 5:05pm call.
5:10pm - Stripping the auto in progress. 17XX N Menard.
5:38pm - Shots Fired. Augusta and Latrobe. Two fired by a couple of males out on the corner.
5:41pm - Criminal damage report. 6333 W Bloomingdale. At the Lovett school.
5:51pm - Battery in progress. 48XX W Adams.
5:52pm - We've got a bit of a situation unfolding at the Hay Academy (a elementary school) at 1018 N Laramie. The school is currently on lockdown because of shots being fired right near the school, and CPS will NOT let the students out of the school until CPD arrives to talk to the principal. Listening closely to this...
5:55pm - Beat car 1524 is at the Hay school now, and they talked to the principal. They're letting the kids out now. 1524 will remain on scene for a while.
6:07pm - Beat car 1531 has a traffic stop at Lamon and Ohio.
2:08pm - Beat car 2525 is at Steminez High School for their dismissal.
