Homeless Man On Clinton, EMS Run On Garland Ct.

Good morning, everyone, it's 8:30am. It's a sunny and pretty warm May morning here in Chi-town, with temps in the lower 70s already. It's going to get to about 90 today with sunshine. I'm monitoring Zone 4 on this post for today, as well as Citywides 1, 2 and 3. This is because we have the NATO summit occurring this weekend in the city. On this post, I'm monitoring pre-NATO and post-NATO activities. With that, here's crime for today.

8:42am - Disturbance. 420 S Clinton. Homeless male White, 50s, hat, blue shirt and khaki pants is in front, harassing people.

8:49am - Beat 106 is advising that all of her units can come in now. Their shift's over.

9:00am - I'm going to go, for now, until 9:30. I'll be back then.

9:30am - And I'm back.

9:33am - EMS run. 130 N Garland Ct. Male down.

9:39am - Some call at 3XX W Locust.

10:08am - I'm going to go, for now. I may come back later with more Zone 4 coverage after the NATO events today, and I'll come back at some point today with the Citywides.

11:00am - I'm back, with Citywide 1.

11:05am - Beat 4627David is doing a mission in the 19th District. Event number is 08448.

11:12am - Shots Fired/Person Shot. 531 E 63rd St. Gunshots heard with a man falling to the ground, potientially shot. 3rd District, Zone 7 clear.

11:21am - Beat 1700, the 17th District Commander, is ordering up R service for her car.

11:30am - I'm now only going to be posting on the NATO post until further notice later today.

5:30pm - I'm back with Zone 4. Good afternoon, folks.

5:31pm - Transport car needed at North Ave. Beach, per Beat 6731Adam. There was a fight and someone needs to be taken in.

5:43pm - 1) EMS run. 12XX N Sedgwick. Man passed out on the sidewalk. 2) Disturbance. 12XX N Clybourn.

6:04pm - Disturbance. 1XX W Eugenie. Homeless male in the alley causing problems.

6:05pm - Battery. 14th and State. Man was punched and was bleeding pretty good.

6:12pm - Suspicious object. 11XX S Wabash. Cardboard box in the alley, under the "L", with a smell of natural gas coming from it.

6:13pm - Reckless driver. Lincoln and Wisconsin.

6:14pm - Battery in progress. 1200 S Wabash. Two males fighting under the "L".

6:18pm - Person wanted. 630 W Harrison and Union Station. Male Hispanic named Julio Soto, born on 22-Jan-89, with a tattoo on his left cheek, has a warrant and is a danger. Possibly headed to Arizona. Came is as a "check the well being". All train stations and bus terminals need to be checked. Called in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. No further information.

6:20pm - An 18th District unit is doing a CTA check at the Sedgwick station. Event number is 16691.

6:21pm - EMS run. 2270 N Clybourn. Elderly female injured by a falling picture frame over at Salvation Army. She was hit in the head.

6:22pm - Check the well being. 14XX N Lakeshore Drive. Female in the bus stop shelter is possibly on drugs. Per the passerby.

6:23pm - Loud music disturbance. Wisconsin and Bissell.

6:24pm - Battery victim injured. 1224 S Wabash. In front of the Jewel's. Male injured as a result of a battery.

6:27pm - Beat car 131 needs EMS at the 6:24pm job. The man's bleeding pretty good.

6:28pm - Some unit needs an assist car at Clinton and Harrison.

6:30pm - Per Beat 199, the 6:18pm job is to be coded out. Officers will need to do special attention to the train stations and bus terminals, though.

6:34pm - Suspicious person. 175 W Jackson. Eight males and two females heading south with bandannas on their face.

6:35pm - Criminal trespass. 186 W Adams. At the McDonalds. Homeless male in the lobby, trespassing.

6:37pm - An 18th District unit is doing a CTA check at the Fullerton station, 940 on Fullerton.

6:38pm - An RD number is being pulled from 1224 Wabash. RD number is HV294045 with the event number of 17030.

6:47pm - Burglar alarm. 1 S Franklin.

7:00pm - Traffic accident. North and LaSalle.

7:15pm - Beat car 1811 is doing a CTA check at the North/Clybourn Red Line station.

7:16pm - Person calling for help. 23XX N Greenview. Woman screaming for help.

7:21pm - A slow down is being given on the 7:16pm job. They have the parties stopped at Greenview and Fullerton.

7:43pm - Criminal damage in progress. 300 W North Ave. Eight to nine male youths throwing bricks through windows of the businesses.

8:00pm - EMS run. Balbo and Wabash. Male with eye trauma and a female keeps arguing with someone over there.

8:45pm - Battery report. Wabash and 9th.

8:47pm - 1811 is doing a CTA check at the Armitage Brown Line station.

8:50pm - Theft. Superior and Orleans. Male stole some liquor bottles out of the store and is now running.

9:15pm - Disturbance. Dearborn and Cullerton. Group of kids trying to open the hydrant.

9:16pm - Criminal damage. 35 W Wacker. Bunch of protesters, supposedly from the whole NATO thing, are spraypainting the area.

9:18pm - Person w/ a knife. 1155 N Clark. At the CVS. Two males fighting and one has a knife.

9:19pm - Suspicious person. 729 W Jackson. Male Black wearing black is leaning back in the parking lot near a car.

9:20pm - Parker. 12XX W Dickens.

9:21pm - Assist the P.O. 431 N Dearborn. Off-duty PO needs another car at the restaurant, he's got a disorderly person there. Not a 10-1.

9:22pm - 1) A slow down is being given on the 431 Dearborn thing. 2) Traffic accident. 18XX S State. Two cars, one driver is possibly drunk.

9:23pm - A disregard is being given on the 9:18pm job.

9:33pm - Disturbance. 18XX N Orchard. Group of people drinking.
