Large Fights At Sullivan High School, School Dismissals

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 2:44pm. It's a cloudy day with temps in the lower 40s, and it'll remain like this throughout the afternoon and evening. I'm monitoring Zone 11 from now until about 4:30pm or so, mainly because of a situation at Sullivan High School at 6631 North Bosworth that occurred this morning. I'll describe it in a little while. I'll also be monitoring some other Zones this evening, but here's crime for this afternoon.

2:47pm - Beat car 2032 is at Amundsen High School for dismissal. 

2:50pm - Just so everyone is aware, but there have

3:02pm - Beat 2071 is at Senn High School, 5900 N. Glenwood, for dismissal.

3:05pm - Beat 2005 is at Mather High School for dismissal.

3:17pm - Beat car 2031 is doing an "L" check at the Berwyn Red Line station.

3:28pm - Beat 2445 needs a transport unit at Sullivan for one student. Beat car 2431 will head over.

3:51pm - Beat 2440 wants all available units in the District to head to Sullivan. She wants them to meet up with Beat 2475Sam. This includes Beat cars, rapids and Tac units.

3:54pm - Suspicious person. Bryn Mawr and Winthrop. Three male Blacks with a slim jim are near a car, possibly trying to break in.

3:59pm - 1) 2431 is pulling an RD number from the arrest they made, for a UCR code of "0484" (aggravated battery to a police officer, if I'm not mistaken). It's HV593197 with the event number of 10376. 2) Sex offense. 4923 N Clark. Male fondling himself in front.

4:02pm - 1) Suspicious person. Kedzie and Lunt. 2) Reckless driver. Devon and Clark. Cab number #6545 is speeding north on Clark towards Arthur, driving recklessly. Not sure what company it's from, though. 3) Disturbance. Greenview and North Shore. Group of kids throwing rocks. Probably those Sullivan kids.

4:12pm - Landlord/tenant dispute. 10XX W Thorndale. Problem with the landlord.

4:15pm - Per Beat 2460, dismissal at Sullivan has been pretty peaceful so far. But he wants all Tac units to stay in the area to make sure the kids don't flare up anywhere and start more trouble.

4:38pm - I'm going to go until later. I'll be back with some other Zones. I'll see you all later.

7:30pm - I'm back. Good evening, everyone.

7:31pm - EMS run. Jackson and Michigan. Female on CTA bus #1521 fell and injured herself.

7:33pm - Suspicious person. 1755 W Jackson. At the Churches' Chicken. Male sitting at a table, with his head down, hood over head.

7:34pm - 1) Criminal damage. 47XX W Race. Car hit a traffic pole, on purpose. 2) Beat 1130 and Beat car 1132 are on the 3900 block of W. Grenshaw, doing a detail of some sorts for a little bit.

7:36pm - Some call on 1624's Beat.

7:38pm - 1) Disturbance. Damen and Belle Plaine. Group of kids loitering and drinking. 2) Disturbance. Cornelia and Wolcott. Group of kids in the street, blocking it with things, and throwing rocks. 2) Narcotics. Sheridan and Sunnyside. Three or four males doing drugs in the laundromat.

7:40pm - Parker. 15XX N Elk Grove. Permit parking.

7:52pm
- Battery. 27XX N Mulligan. Caller was pushed by a male.

7:54pm - Criminal trespass in progress. 5535 W Madison. At the laundromat. 13 year old female is on private property, something about selling candy.

7:56pm - Gang disturbance. North and Keystone. Several of them throwing signs.


8:36pm - Shots Fired. 56XX W Fulton. Five shots heard.

8:37pm - Burglar alarm. 5300 W Division.

9:07pm - Battery in progress. 50XX W Jackson. Four males fighting in the alley.

9:33pm - Narcotics. XX N Laramie. People doing drugs on the back porch.

9:36pm - 1) Shots Fired. 3XX N Lockwood. Four shots heard. 2) Battery in progress. Lotus and Huron. Large mob of people fighting.

10:06pm - Burglar alarm. 30XX N Linder.


10:26pm - Person w/ a gun. 54XX W Huron. Male Black with all white on has a gun, six males are fighting on scene.

10:29pm - Multiple calls coming in, again, at Lotus/Huron for a large brawl on the street.  Lots of teens fighting.

10:32pm - I'm going to go for the night. I'll be back in the morning. Have a good night, everyone!
