He followed the victim from Foreman High School to the Drummond location and made suggestive comments to them. He's trying to get a date for the Bears game.

Black Friday (Morning) Coverage

Good morning, everyone, it's 6:45am. It's Black Friday, and as you all probably know, it's the day where people go crazy in the malls overnight for all of the sales on items. So with that happening, I'm monitoring all of the Zones this morning until 10am, unless I hear a major incident on a specific Zone involving Black Friday, which then I'll cover that specific Zone until 1pm. Hopefully nothing bad will happen, though. I hope everyone is enjoying the start of the holiday season. I know I am. So with that, here's crime for this morning.

7:04am - All call message: Message number 202056 has been canceled for a Homicide offender that was wanted as of 06:02 hours (6:02am) on 25-Nov-11. Point to point is clear.

7:32am - Disturbance. 5220 S Lake Park. At the McDonalds. Male causing problems inside.

7:45am - Check the well being. 4558 S Kedzie. At the Starbucks. 70 year old male looks disorientated.

7:48am - A disregard is being given on the 7:45am job. That Starbucks is at 4558 NORTH Kedzie, not south. Call's being transfered over to Zone 1.

8:25pm - 1) The Rockwell incident had the van heading towards 73rd on Rockwell. 2) Theft in progress. 255 W 63rd. Male with a black hoodie is stealing.

12:06am - Suspicious person. 105XX S Prairie. Male walking a dog is looking into backyards.

12:16am - Beat 306Boy is doing a gang conflict mission from 60th to 66th, Calumet to State.

12:19am - A unit asks for an event number for something on Citywide 1. Whatever it is, the number is 00297.

12:20am - Shots Fired. Cottage Grove and 75th. Seven fired. Also getting a ticket of a person calling for help at about 1000 E 75th.

12:23am - A 13th District unit has a stop at Grand and Wood.

12:24am - Assault in progress. 5001 S Michigan. At the group home. One of the clients is threatening people with "gang violence".

6:20pm - Person w/ a gun. Somewhere on Chicago Ave. Four to five male gangbangers in the hallway of the building, with guns.

6:22pm - Information for the CPD. 4338 W Wabansia. At the North Grand High school. All the lights in the school are flashing. The school's not supposed to be open right now.

6:27pm - Disturbance. 53XX W Hirsch. Loiters.

6:51pm - Battery. Halsted and Roosevelt. Caller was hit over the head with a duffel bag by a male who tried to take it from them.

7:04pm - Got a dangerous situation unfolding at the bank at 4136 W North Ave. Call came in as a robbery in progress with a bank being held up. There's people in the bank, too. Officers are pulling up.

7:05pm - 2523 is chasing an offender. Westbound in the alley, towards Keeler.

7:06pm - 10-1. 10-1. 2520's calling a 10-1. All available units in 25 and 15 are advised to go.

7:07pm - Multiple units are pulling up to the scene. It's a real chaotic scene. Also, Dispatch is reporting that a citizen called 911 for "Shots Fired" at the scene.

7:08pm - We've got one offender in custody. At 1643 on Keeler. Another one ran down Keeler.

7:09pm - Beat 1510's requesting EMS and CFD at the scene. There's people tied up in the back of the bank.

7:10pm - Dispatch is asking officers if there were shots fired by or at the police. Officers are saying no.

7:11pm - Some Evidence Techs and K9 will be needed at the scene. Also, EMS and CFD are on the way.

7:12pm - Dispatch is asking if any citizens were hit by gunfire. Officers are saying that's a negative. 2533 is the paper car on this whole incident.

7:14pm - Both offenders are in custody and all coppers are okay. A disregard is being given.

7:16pm - The bank employees are declining medical attention at this time.

7:21pm - Robbery. 5600 block of W Chicago. D&J Beauty's Supply was just held up. Three male Blacks robbed the store at gunpoint.

7:25pm - Beat 2520 is telling all officers to hold on to any and all possibles.

7:28pm - Wanted from the 7:21pm robbery are two male Blacks, one with a black jacket and white ski mask, both with ski masks. They both fled west on Chicago towards Parkside. One then ran north on Parkside, towards Iowa. Both were armed with semi automatic weapons.

7:29pm - A better flash is being given on the 7:21pm robbery. There's actually three offenders involved. One's wearing all black with a black ski mask, the other has on a white ski mask and timberline boots and the third one has on a gray hoodie and blue jeans. A revolver was displayed.

7:32pm - 2520 wants 2515 to hold all of the victims at the scene.

8:09am - Beat 1682 is doing foot patrol on the 4800 and 4900 blocks of N Milwaukee. Event number is 03505.

8:24am - Parker. 45XX N Central Park. Minivan.

8:27am - Parker. Lawrence and Melvina.

8:45am - Beat 1705Adam is doing for a park check at Horner. Event number is 04015.

8:46am - Disturbance. 42XX N Laramie. Problem with the guest over a stolen phone.

9:06am - Beat 1601 says that a woman just walked into 16 with some kind of head injury. Dispatch is calling EMS.

Caller, who wishes to remain anonymous, called that gas company to inquire about it, and they're saying that they didn't send anyone to that address.

Good evening, everyone, it's 7:14pm. It's a pretty mild but windy Saturday night. It's in the 50s right now. Anyway, I'll be covering Zones 1, 10, 11 and 12 this evening, mainly Zone 12. Some of you wonder why I may mainly only monitor the West and South side Zones. I do it because there's Chicago blogs that, in my opinion, that pay way too much attention to crime on only the North side Lakefront neighborhoods and Downtown. I figure that there's people who would like to know about crimes occurring on the West and South sides, too, so that's mostly why I stick to Zones 1, 5, 6 and 10-13. Don't worry, however, I will cover the North side at times too :). Here's crime for this evening.

10:18pm - 1532R lost the two males. They jumped a fence by the factory.

Shooting In Pilsen Neighborhood This Evening

A shooting occurred in the Pilsen neighborhood this evening, according to Chicago Police radio (Zone 13). There were a series of 911 calls made on this incident, starting at 9:51pm.

At the indicated time above, a citizen called 911 on the 2100 block of W Cullerton to report six gunshots fired. Following that call, numerous 911 calls came in for the intersection of Cullerton and Hoyne. This lasted for about six more minutes. At 9:53pm, a "Person Shot" call came across the radio, at 2058 West Cullerton. A man was supposed to have been shot in the head at this location.

Beat 1261Adam arrived on scene at 9:56pm and confirmed the man shot in the head. An ambulance was requested at once.

As soon as police arrived, witnesses began to give all of the information they had. Apparently, a black Nissan Maxima was involved in the shooting, and one witness followed this car to 18th and Wolcott, despite being shot at by the occupants. The car went towards 19th on Wolcott. There were rumors of this shooting being possibly-gang related also.

As of 10:10pm, the victim had been taken to Stroger Hospital by EMS #23. Police were working a crime scene on the corner of Hoyne and Cullerton and were still talking to residents. One officer also transported a number of witnesses to Area 4 (Harrison and Kedzie).

At 10:15pm, a call for "Shots Fired" came in at 1919 South Ashland Ave. for five shots being fired and with five men loitering by the alley, possibly being involved in it. At 10:18pm, Beat 1206Boy came over the air to report to Dispatch that this call was not bona fide. The officer said he talked to a few people on the street who say they didn't hear anything.

Chicago Police is investigating the shooting.

2:37am - Wanted from the robbery is a male Hispanic, 25-30 years old who pointed a gun at the caller and took his Chevy Trailblazer. The vehicle has a plate of 5610142. It fled north on Major, towards Belden.

2:38am - Battery in progress. 1X S Austin. Male being beaten in the building and someone's screaming for their life.

2:41am - Disturbance. On 2513R's PDT. It's on Belmont.

They grabbed the victim, robbed her then tried to rape her. Took off south on Leavitt towards Grand. Information only for the coppers on the north end of 12. This occurred 45 minutes ago.

Foot Chase On The 2200 Block of W. Rice

8:23am - 1306Charlie is chasing a male Black with a black hoodie, blue jeans and green gym shoes. Running east on Rice. The guy is in his early to mid 20s.

8:24am - Approaching Leavitt on Rice. Also, a unit is needed to secure 1306C's squad car at Oakley and Rice. The door was left wide open.

8:25am - The guy's in the yards somewhere. He's wanted for robbery.

8:27 through 9:05am - Lots of discussion between Dispatch and the officers involved in the foot chase. A gun was found, an ET needs to be ordered, etc.

8:47am - Battery report. 3501 W Potomac. At the Casal school. 13 year old son was slapped in the face by another parent.
